First Time Camping 1 Attachment(s) I know a lot of the YT readers have and do go camping with their fur babies. We are going to be going to Rough River, KY in September for a family reunion. We will be camping in a tent as the cabins won't allow pets. Generally is 9 moths old now and this will be his first time camping. The only time he has been away from the house at night has been at the kennel. What can I expect from him at night in the tent? Do they bark a lot, are they fearful? I would appreciate any input and ideas on what I can do to make this a very fun time. He is very sociable with humans and dogs, likes to chase rabbits and squirrels but can be afraid of his own shadow and does not like walking in the dark.:animal36:aimeeyork: |
What a cutie! I would say it really depends on the dog. I would say be careful about letting him off the leash, because a pup in unknown territory is a scary thing if he gets scared or decides to go after a bunny. |
Murfee has been going camping with us since he was about 3 months old. We are in a camper most of the time but he has slept in a tent too. We haven't had any trouble with him barking. He loves it. I never let him off the leash when we are outside. I don't tether him because I am afraid something will get him. He made friends with a deer one time. It was so cute. I don't think either of them knew what the other was. And of course I didn't have a camera. I am sure he will do just fine. Have a wonderful time. |
