Scams In my search for a Yorkie I have come across lots of these when I email for information: Flag this message Re: Puppy Saturday, July 12, 2008 8:55 PM From: "Mike Tzonson" <miketzonson@ymail.com> "Thanks for your interest in my lovely baby.He is still available.he is 11 weeks old,he will weigh 3-4lbs at full grown,he is a male with the name Daniel,he is AKC registered and his shots are up to date,he is vet checked and trained. His papers will accompany him.We are going to ship him to you via Express pets delivery on next day delivery via through a shipping agent ,I will leave him for $500 USD Including shipping,if you are willing to have him.Presently I am in West-Africa Nigeria on a missionary trip.If you are interested in him, I want you to get back to me with your full name, address, phone number including the nearest airport to you so I can proceed shipment. Please if you know that you are not going to take very good care of my baby please do not reply me because i am only giving him out because we don't have time to take care of him again due to the mission work before us here.Await your response.View pics in the attached files. Hope to read from you soon" It's getting so discouraging that everytime I think I am going to find the perfect one this happens. Is there someone or someplace to report these to? Thank you. |
I'm not aware of any reporting agency for these types of scams unless you are actually taken in by one. Then I guess you could file a police report, as it would be theft, wire fraud, etc. because they are not going to send anyone a dog. This same Nigerian scam has been around for quite some time. |
Thank you. It's such a shame. I have gotten so many of these in the past few weeks. |
These scam ad's are everyone unfortunately. Have you tried looking on the yorkie's for sale forum here? Or even posting what you are looking for and where to see if you can get some recommendations? |
If you want a yorkie I would say you could find something through someone here. That way you know you aren't getting taken advantage of and you don't need to answer some ad that will put you on there email lists. Once they get you they keep hitting your email. Block them as a scam and check it out through your local police agency if there is anywhere to turn them in. Fraud is Fraud and wish these people could get caught and stopped for good. |
