Bissell 1200 SpotBot Hands Free Compact Cleaner I have berber carpet and would like to know how well this cleaner would work on it? Does anyone own this particular cleaner and have used it on berber carpet? Thanks. |
Is there only one size spotbot? I have one...but I'm not sure the phrase...compact is included in the name. I do use mine on berber carpet....it works very well....so well in fact sometimes I realize there is only ONE spot on the carpet that is now clean. I'm not sure it that's a good review or not. |
hehe...i think there is only one size...i guess the seller just advertise it has compact meaning you can lug it around unlike the full blown carpet cleaner machine...hehe...i dunno |
Maybe my review was more a review on the state of my carpet. I have full size bissell steam cleaner too. I tend to use that more often than the little one. The little one I use if I know...the rest of the carpet is clean. Does that make sense? In other words...preventing the one clean spot look. |

I love mine! The only drawback is that it does leave a lot of solution in the carpet. I think that's why some people get a spot. The trick is to use the manual wand to suck up the remaining solution. It also blends the edges. I've never had a problem with spots. I love my Spot Bot. I have an upright Bissell, too, which I also love. The problem with using that all the time is that it does wear out the carpet. I prefer to use the Spot Bot for spots and deep clean only every six months or so. I got the Pet Spot Bot, but I honestly don't know the difference except it is more expensive. |

I'll say if your carpet isn't highly soiled...just regular traffic....and you use the spot bot...sometimes you do have a clean spot in that area. It happens worse if you use the deep clean setting for set in stains. I tend to use the surface stain setting to prevent it. |
