Please keep Angel in your prayers!
 
In 15 minutes, we will be leaving for the vet. Angel is getting spayed today. Im so worried about her. I keep telling myself everything will be ok, but part of me knows that sometimes things happen.

I don't want her to have this surgery, but I dont want her to get pregnant again and risk her life giving birth. Im so worried and shakey....... I know this is normal and all mommies feel this way.

Please, im begging all of you to think good thoughts for her today.

Heather - I JUST went thru this last week with Cheri - you have MINE !! It's such a worry - and time drags....Big hugs and hang in there girl !

Oh she'll be ok but you know we all worry about our babies she has my prays let us know how it goes. Prayin for ya :littleang .

Sending good thoughts your way. I know it's a nerve-wracking experience, but she'll be just fine. When I brought Rika to be spayed, I wasn't worried about the surgery, I was just upset that I had to leave her somewhere overnight. lol I couldn't imagine her being very happy in a cage all night with nothing to cuddle with. I made them take a blanket in with her and because I used to work at a vet clinic, they let me go back and put her and the blanket in the cage myself. It was great, and it was just the Humane Society! (It was low-cost...)

Paws and fingers crossed here for Angel. I'm sure everything will go well. Let us know when you hear from the vet. Go play with the puppies to keep your mind off of it for a while. Before you know it, they'll be calling to say she's out and waiting for her mommy to come get her!

She will be in my thoughts today! I know it's scary - but it's worth it! Just remember that vets preform this surgery everyday & they know what they're doing! It is for the best! Good luck!

I wil be thinking about Angel today. I'm sure her surgery will go just fine, but a little prayer never hurt anyone. Be sure to pamper her once she comes home. And try to relax, no need getting worried until you need to. Let us know how she does. :aimeeyork

I cried at the vets office when it was time to hand Esme over for her surgery. But you know what? It all turned out perfectly fine! The next day she was playing and acting like herself. I know it's difficult for you, but it really is the best thing for your baby! I will keep her in my thoughts!

Thank everyone. It seems your prayers helped. Angel is home now and doing fine. She's kinad groggy and whimpering a bit when she tries to move, but other then that she's ok.

WHen I got to the vet, I had to force myself to go in. Once there, I lost it. i started balling my eyes out when they came to get her. I was a wreck today. I spent the day with my neighbor in hopes that I wouldnt focus on what angel was going through. It helped a little but I still stared at the clock.

When I picked her up, I balled my eyes out once again. I felt so guilty for putting her through this. I didn't want this done....AT ALL. Im so sad.

I keep thinking that i've just taken something from her.....and I have. Her uterus and ovaries :(

Im gonna go make myself a STRONG drink.

Thanks again for all your support. Someone in heaven was obviously listening.


One question though.....is it normal for her legs to shake whenever she takes a breath (while lying down)????

I am glad Angel is doing okay. I know I just went through the same thing yesterday. Jewels had the shakes all night last night but is better today. I am glad to have it over and done with. I am sure you are too.

I havent been online much this weekend. I have been focussing on Angel non stop. She keeps trying to jump around. If I take my eyes off of her for one second, she jumps off of my bed or the couch.

I dont want her hurting herself.

Im letting her interact with her puppies and Prince (even though the vet said not to) since they are all being gentle. Other then them occasionally trying to lick her wound, it's going well.

I was so worried that there would be a problem but everything seems to be going well. She's not in any kind of pain at all....THANK GOD!

She's eating and drinking like normal and even wants treats.

Well, im gonn ago lay down for a bit. I have bronchitis and haven't slept much do to bronchitis.

Angel seems to think she's superwoman now. I can't get her to sit still. She jumps off of everything (couch, my bed, etc) and runs around like a lunatic. Im afraid she will get hurt. She keeps trying to wrestle with her puppies.

The vet said she needs to be still for 14 days...and it's only been 3. How on earth am I gonna be able to keep her still that long? It's already impossible!

Im also curious as to why it has to be 14 days. I thought laser surgery made for a quicker recovery time. 2 weeks seems like a long time.
