Little Man & Tawny would like for ya'll to meet.... 3 Attachment(s) Odie! Odie is 3 yrs old yorkiepoo. He's potty trained and crate trained. The people we got him from had him at a yard sale that we were both at. I of course wasn't trying to be nosy but when I heard them say that they were going to rehome him or give him to a rescue. I pretty much had a outer body experience. My mouth and heart just took over! I said, "I'll take him! I have a 6 mo and 7 week old yorkiepoos at home." When I got home with Odie (now here comes the big test! HUBBY!) I walked in with this HUGE crate and Odie inside. Hubby says, "I thought you were only going to a yard sale to ONLY look!" I said, "yeah well you know me!" ;) LOL! He said, "yeah I do and that scares me!" LOL! I said, "yeah yeah yeah whatever..have a nice night at work honey and I love you!" He said, "I do like his coloring and he does kinda look like Little Man...oh ok we can keep him, but you only have one more slot open and its reserved for your yorkie. And then thats it, we'll have our 4 kids!" Then out the door he went! LOL! Odie goes to the vets tomorrow to get checked out and then he will be properly introduced to Little Man and Tawny. Then next friday he goes to the groomers to be properly groomed. Hubby also told me that I will now have to learn how to groom them, so I'm going to being doing alot of bad hair cuts until I get the hang of it. So ya'll better wish the kids LOTS of LUCK! LOL! Attachment 229813 This is Odie! Attachment 229814 He started to mark in the house so I grabbed one of Little Man's belly bands and grabbed the wrong pad! It has wings! I'm glad him and Little Man are the same size or I'd be in lots of trouble! Attachment 229815 A brief introduction before they got seperated! |

Awww congrats, That sounds like something I would do. My mother often takes animals from poorly treated owners and rehomes them.......lol Good luck with him, He's a cutie. |

First off, congratulations on your new furbaby. Your husband's comments sounded just like mine when I brought Mocha home. "Oh what a cute Yorkie". Then "Who's is he?". I replied mine. "How old?" Reply 5 1/2. "5 1/2 what?" I said years. "Well, he sure is little". Yes, 4 lbs. Then he scooped him up for a cuddle and Mocha was HOME. Best of luck with Odie!!! |

How are the new "siblings" all getting along? |

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I know Odie will have a wonderful home :) I'm happy for both of you. You wouldn't believe how many animals we've brought home...Me and Hubby. All have been rehomed, except Abby, Daisy & Misty. Some how wayward animals seem to find us. |

With their brief introduction they did pretty well...he even laid down and let Tawny tackle him. And boys will be boys but without the fighting! They played pretty good together...Then I took Odie and put him seperate from the other two. |

Thanks everyone! I really wasn't expecting to get another baby this soon after getting Tawny, but cirumstances does arise and I just couldn't let him go and not know if he will ever find his forever home. The real test came today after our vet visit, as to how he, Little Man, and Tawny got along. They got along great. He and Little Man play like they were raised together (I'm so happy for that!). Now Tawny is another story, he's very careful with her. She will go over and play with him, he'll just lay down and let her play until he gets enough then he will get up and walk away. He pretty much does the same thing Little Man did when we got her. His vet visit went well. Since, he is 3 yrs old and we didn't know if he had his shots (the previous owners didn't know if he did or not, but they knew they didn't take him to vet.) so the vet went ahead and gave him a booster shot and his rabie shot. He did test postive for hookworms, and whip worms. I got worming medicine for him and was told to keep Little Man and Tawny away from him when he goes potty. He did test negative for heartworms. I've got to call the vet tomorrow morning to schedule his surgery to have him neutered, because I forgot to do that today. So, we got a pretty good health update. |
