My female covers her treats, bones and her toys up when she has had all she wants of them she hides them. I think it is adorable, I love watching her do that! :D |
martini does that too she loves hiudding her treats so she can go back to it later...she saves them lol...its so funny |
I haven't seen Kacee do this, but I remember a funny story about Muffin when she was a puppy. I gave her a treat one day. She went to the door and wanted out, so I opened the door and went out with her. She dug a hole next to the grill and buried her treat. That was the only time she ever buried anything in the dirt, too. But she buried lots of things in the covers and such.:D |
Yes, mine cover up food and toys as if someone is going to take them... ha! My boy also tries to cover up after he pees and poos sometimes which I laugh at hysterically! :) |
Maya hides her Bones ... there her favorites and may God be with you if you come near them .... it's too funny ... well sometimes ... she can be a real mean girl when it comes to that .... |
Yup, Joey does this too, the first time I saw it I was just amazed, he is so diligent in trying to cover up a bone. I've had lots of dogs before, but this is the first Yorkie and the first time I've seen this, but I don't know if other breeds do it as well. |
Winstin is not into covering many things up but he loves to cover his own face. Actually he buries his face. |
well from the sound of it, it must be a yorkie thing...but what I do know for sure is it is about the funniest thing I have ever seen..thank you all for sharing. |
I give Mufasa a pigs ear treat and he always tries to cover it up. I think he wants to save it for later. lol |
Well my little chihuahua does it too, he is the one that I noticed foing it first and the Cookie. :D |
Zoeybear used to do it, but now she can't because she is trying to keep everything away from Baby Chloe. If she covers anything with imaginary dirt, Baby Chloe will snatch it!:D |
Onni likes to cover things up, but my Jack Russell Terrier "Mikey" is the king of trying to bury his toys, food and anything else he deems his. He is hilarious to watch! |
Mia covers up everything... It's funny to watch her... Love it, love it, love it :aimeeyork |
Yeah....nothing like climbing into bed and feeling a damp raw hide that has been hidden for later! That's what my boys do! |
LOL, This thread makes me laugh. As some of you may know I am new to the wonderful world of Yorkies. (6weeks) Taylor actually covered ME up with imaginary dirt 2 nights ago. Poor thing worked so hard, going all around me in my bed covering me up. LOL I LOVE YORKIES. LOLOL :D:aimeeyork:D |
My Izzy "buries" stuff too:laugh: It's so cute! |
Romeo hides his most beloved treats too! It's funny to watch him do it and he is so determined to hide it:) I thought it was in dog's nature to do it. My sister had a precious rottweiler Zorro (R.I.P) and he would go hide his treats in the dirt outside. We always thought he was hiding it from Sophie, a younger rottweiler he didn't much care for!! But I guess even if you only have one dog, they get the urge to dig and hide their treats!! We should post pictures;) |
Kodak did it when he was a puppy and Mari never did it at all, but it was so cute and funny. It's like they are trying to bury something with no dirt. LOL |
Peanut "hides" his poop with imaginary dirt, but with his toys and treats, he uses his blankets and his bedding to actually conceal them. Or, he has a favorite hiding spot behind a pillow on the couch. LOL...anytime I'm missing something he can fit in his lil mouth, I go looking there. 8 times out of ten, it's behind "Peanut's Pillow." Funny lil guy... |
Bam Bam does the same thing he even gets a little annoyed when things don't go so well, he lets out a little wheeping sound. He also plays with his treats he will place them in his mouth and puts his head back forcing the treat out of his mouth it looks like hes playing catch by hisself... Too funny!!! |

My daughter's Yorkie use to hide her treats from my 2 Mini Schnauzers when she comes over, if she doesn't eat them right away. She discovered that didn't help much and now she eats them when she gets them, David |
Rambeau does this with his chew chews when he is tired of chewing them. My little Lupie (Dachshund)used to do it too. I had to stop leaving food in her kennel during the day because I would come home and her nose was bloody from scooting the bowl under her blanket. |
Smokey does this with treats and bones. Chip just swallows them right up... then goes after Smokey's share :D |
willis does this too, he hides all his treats and bones, but now we have Darcy she finds the treats and eats them, he's not impressed. |
