cigarette smoke i'm assuming it's really bad for our babies to inhale.. but how bad? and am i being too overprotective by covering my baby in a blanket when there's cigarette smoke around? and covering his nose and covering him with my clothes? haha.. i don't think i am.. i just want him to be safe!! |
If it's bad for us I am sure it's bad for them. |
I have people smoke outside. It is just as bad for them as it is for us |
i agree...i was a smoker up to a few mts ago and i didnt allow myself to smoke in front of her and i do not allow any1 to its not healty for any1 thats also y i quit |
Studies have shown that breeds with long noses more difficulty with cigarette smoke than those with shorter noses. I don't think covering the nose would help much; dogs tend to die before the effects of second hand smoke are a problem, as this usually takes years of intense exposure. Unless your clothing is made of an activated charcoal, I think it would be best to ask guests to smoke outside or remove the dog from the area. |

at least i know now.. thanks for the info =D |
As an ex-smoker when my vet said it would shorten the life of a dog by years I was shocked. It was one more reason to quit! |
Mine have never been around cigarette smoke since I've had them. No one smokes that comes here and all the places we take them, I've never seen anyone smoking. It's pretty "taboo" here in CA. and in fact there is an entire town north of us that prohibit smoking anywhere in that town. |
