How much does love cost? Just wondering how much you paid for your yorkie pup... i dont want anyone to feel like i am being nosy about personal business. Im just curious because i see ads with puppies i would classify as expensive, what qualifies yorkies to go for 1000 as opposed to 300? My yorkie buffalo is AKC registered with papers and healthy as can be, he is about 6 pounds at 18 weeks. I think my guy is perfect :D and he was only $350 from a small breeder (i went personally to pick him up and saw the property, some dogs were outside but conditions were great). Id like to know for future reference. anyone who would care to share i would appreciate it! thanks!:animal36 |

No offense but you are going to quite a big man on your hands, if he is 6 lbs at 18 weeks. They cannot be over 7 lbs to show and should not be bred if they are over 7 lbs. |

You can't put a price on love. When you find the right puppy for you, you will know. As long as they come from a good home and they are going to an even better one, you can't put a price tag on that. I personally think papers on the puppy are very important and no one wants to support a puppy mill. Finding a good breeder who has the experience to give you a great baby is also important. Depending on the breeder, prices vary. I personally am a little skiddish about getting a puppy for a low or discounted rate because you never know what sort of underlying problems exist to be at that price. Some may have different opinions of that but I was willing to pay more to ensure good solid bloodlines. Also, I have heard horror stories from people who have bought puppies at a lower price. The most important thing is research the heck out of the breeder and go with your gut. |
i paid 800 for my dog (she is worth every penny) i got her when she was 2 months old, i saved my money for three years (it seemed like forever) to get her and im so glad i did, i couldnt have gotten a better dog :2hearts2: |

I don't think you can put a price on love. A pup is like clay its up to you want the final product becomes. If you mold with love that is what you'll get ;) As far as yorkie prices...to me it really depends...you can get a awesome healthy pup for not that much and then pay thousands for another that is sick. In California I have seen it all. I looked for a long time for a pup and believe me I saw it all. $4000 dogs that weren't even registered. I admit on my search I turned a few backyard breeders in because of conditions. When I found my breeder I just knew and didn't care. I would rather pay a lot from a breeder that tests their dogs and are doing what they should be then pay it later in a pup that will be sick. Again not saying an expensive dog means no sickness...it just depends on the research you do. ;) |
