(sigh) If you don't have a lot of money, maybe if you offer some money and some kind of trade (??) Something for her yard, or something of value that you have but don't use anymore? :confused: I hate to hear things like this.

What part of Ohio are you in? I'm in Fairfield. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know!! I hate to hear stuff like this and it makes me sooo mad that people could treat there animals like this. How would you like to be sitting outside all day in 90 degree weather with all that fur....no thanks. I feel bad for getting in the car before it has cooled down with Bandit because I know he has got to be uncomfortable. Anyways let me know if there is something I can do to help.

I would ask her if you could groom her free of charge and have a play date with your Yorkie. Little by little she might let you take her for good.

i hope ur able to rescue her...if the women doesnt take care of her why is she being so difficult...its not like she takes care of her

You've been worried about this baby for too long! This lady doesn't deserve this baby. Go get it! Naw...wish it were that easy for you! I worry about you worrying! I can just picture that little baby on this porch in the heat. Maybe you could stand at the edge of their property and offer him a piece of chicken and get him to follow you home. When I was in the first grade I used to do that. My mamma would never let me have a dog as a child, so every afternoon walking home from school, I would convince a neighborhood dog to follow me home. Mamma always quickly found the owners, but it worked for a few hours for me! Good luck to you.

I spoke with a woman from a local animal shelter and unfortunately since they are right across the county line there is nothing they can do. The good news is she gave me the number for a woman with Ohio SPCA that takes all measures neccesary to help neglected and abused animals. (She was the only one who stepped in when we had a case of severely neglected horses in this area, the local government would do nothing.) I'm hoping that with all luck she will be able to rescue or at lease make sure that this little one is well taken care of. I still have my fingers crossed. And as for the secret mission to steal her in the middle of the night, I've very seriously considered it but not sure my nursing license would withhold a felony! :(

You know that is an idea. I groom my little guy at home. I might have to do that. Maybe if she sees how happy she is at my house with a new friend she might consider it! Thanks for the input.

Hey girl its Linds. I can't think of anything else but to just keep up with her, if you don't see food take it food same with water. If anyone else has seen the dog being neglected get them to make a written statment and give that to the SPCA

Maybe you could ask the lady if she would like you to walk the puppy. You could then take it to your house for some cool water and a rest anyway.

I would be just so tempted to steal it..not that i'm into dognapping or anything! just must be so hard to have to pass by and see the poor little thing and feel so helpless! :(I really hope there is a way for you to get this pup..

Hey all, thank you so much for all the great advice and concern regarding this situation. I just wanted to update everyone. Shortly after I called the dog warden the pup dissapeared. Warden informed me that they didn\'t seize the dog so I\'m not really sure what happened to her. No news or sign of her! It\'s a little dissapointing knowing I could have given her a wonderful home, I can only hope she is in better hands!:(
