body language Happy Sat. Everyone! Quick ques? My Buddy Reagan does the oddest thing at times. Buddy will stretch forward, then, up comes his behind end and in front he stays down and looks up at you. Is this ok? He has done this for quite a while now but, it occured to me he might have a medical reason for it???? Hopefully not and I am just being over the top fussy about him. He is eating great and runs and plays ect. So happy to have a YORKIE!!!! Thanks, Cindy |
I don't think that's odd - isn't that a yoga position ;) - of course cats do it, and I've seen dogs do it too -- I think it stretches out their back muscles. He's probably looking at you to say this feels good |
Topper stretches like that everytime he gets up from a nap. I tell him he is doing his yoga. Now if he could only motivate momma to exercise!! |
I think that's the dog language way of saying, "Do you want to play?" When we were doing obedience training, we were told not to bend over to talk to the dog because he would interpret it as us assuming the "do you want to play" position and he wouldn't take any commands seriously. |
To me, this is the cutest body language they use :):). He's looking at you to say "ain't I cute with my booty in the air?" lol. I am sure he is stretching out a bit, but they also do this when they are in "play with me" mode :):) |
chewy does that every day... then she pulls her back legs up after her. Its how she stretches. |
My little Leo does that all the time! He does it when he is stretching, and when he wants to play! My girls don't stretch that way though....a boy thing maybe? LOL |
body language Thanks to all , I really appreciate your help, it is great to know all (at least most of the boys do this)! Sure enjoy all the posts so much, great info and help. Blessings, Cindy (Buddys Owner) |
My little guy even sleeps with his little booty up in the air sometimes! :p And if he's got a delicious bone to gnaw on, you KNOW that booty's headed skywards! |
