Pregnant Rescue Hi I need some advice. I am getting a beutful pregnant yorkie today. She is in a shelter. My question is how old is to old to have litters? I am a little worried, but very excited for yhis wonderful little girl to come home. This will be her 5th home and she is obly 5 or 6. Thank you for your time |
Most breeders retire their girls at 5 or 6 years old. |
i hope you keep her for the rest of her life.. what a wonderful gift.. a new rescue and puppies.. hope all are healthy... just get her spayed after this litter.. enjoy:) |
Poor baby !! I wonder why she has had so many homes. I hope all is well with her and babies.. |
I am not sure why she has had so many homes. Annie is a beautiful little girl. I know she has found a forever home with us. As soon as she is setteled in I will post picture of her and Bucky. She has a baby face and is only 5 lbs. I am praying that Bucky and her get along. They have spent some time together, but I might have a rough road ahead. I am taking her to Buckys vet on Monday to make sure all is well. Also I want to thank everyone on Yorkie Talk. I have posted on here before looking for advice and everyone is so helpful. Again Thank You. Kelly, Bucky and Annie |
If for any reason she has to have a C-section, they can do a spay at that time. Hope she works out and this is her last home. Sounds like it is about time she got a break. Good Luck!!! |
I'm sure if she got pg from another Yorkie, the people who had her then would have kept her to sell the pups. I'd be a bit worried that some larger dog got to her and maybe the pups will be too big to have naturally. I'd have the Vet. take some X-rays. ;) I hope she doesn't have to go to yet another home. I do hope you keep this poor little girl and give her all the love she can stand. :) |
Good luck with your new fur baby and her pups. :) |
wishing you luck on your puppies. Congratulations on Annie! |
