Hair bow question Mya is 81/2 months old and I can't seem to get her to keep ANYTHING in her hair to hold it out of her eyes... does anyone have a trick to help? When she leaves the groomer's she immediately starts to pull at her bow and does her best to get it out, I have tried clips too and she just hates anything I try. I really don't want to cut her hair but I am starting to think that is the only answer...can someone help me with some ideas?? Thanks in advance! |
If you're trying to just grow her hair out - skip the bow at home and just use a rubber band. I like to use dental bands - I'm using left overs from my dd braces :D -- but I believe you can get them from Katy Bows Also some people use the smallest scrunchies they can find or the claw clips - you can pick up tiny ones at Walmart Also just to keep the hair out of the eyes, you can just pull back a small section of hair, just to keep it out of the eyes -- then if you want to pull back more you can add a second band for the back section and work the 2 sections together as the hair grows |
This site helped me because it shows how to use two bands to keep the bow in and also has some tips on how to get your dog use to bows. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In This site has some useful information as well. Topknots shared by Linda Grimm and Maria Lelinho starring Rocky! Many Thanks! |
When mine were smaller I got bows from someone...i think layorkie and she uses a french barrette, at least I think that is what it's called and it worked great! Good luck |
I just kept putting them in and they eventually learn to leave them. |
