New Puppy Advice Needed! 2 Attachment(s) Hi There! We just officially added a new member to our family! We found our baby through Nolen's Yorkies (Helen has been great!). She will come to live with us in August. We have a 1.5 yr old yorkie already, Daisy who is just a doll. She is very timid around other dogs at first, but opens up after a while. She is ATTACHED to my hip (or my feet actually!) and is so sad when I'm not around (so says the fiance!). Any advice for us and introducing our new baby to Daisy? Part of me is sad that Daisy will feel slighted but I know she will be ok in the end! :) Any tips would be appreciated!! ;) New baby on the left, our Daisy on the right! |
How exciting to have a new baby! I would say, just make sure you give Daisy a lot of time to get to a point of acceptance, and spend time alone with her too the first few days playing with her favorite toys and loving on her. Good luck. Can't wait to see pictures of the 2 of them together. :) |
Thank you!! :):):) |
Aww!! She's so cute. I'll have the same as this as my new puppy is, hopefully, coming tomorrow. (Should've been today boohoo!). I think you should play it by ear so to speak, and give Daisy extra cuddles perhaps. Separate them at times if necessary. Puppies sleep a lot so I'll be giving Katie her ME time then. Good luck. I just wanted to say CONGRATS on your new baby, she's adorable! Helen is awesome! |
