Bought Turtle a pet dog: Meet Duckie Turtle is 11 months old and every time we visited our friends and family who owned small dogs he had a ball. So, we decided to buy Turtle a dog. A week ago we drove to a breeder about 1 hour away in SC and found Duckie! :Puppy: She really seemed to love Turtle. She kept following Turtle around (and still does). The first 2 or 3 days I was surprised to find that Turtle was acting like a jealous older sibling. He wanted nothing to do with her and was angry when we gave her attention. But, now he is quickly getting back to normal :happyboun. I love to watch them run around and play. I do have a question that I hope you can help with  . I have been brushing Duckie every day but by the end of the day she seems to have new matts . Not just tangles but matts. I don't have time to brush them both more than once a day. Is there anything else I can do? Here are some pictures: Even though Duckie is just 3 months old, she already looks bigger than Turtle. She loved her crate immediately and likes to spend time in it Turtle with his new shaved look. My husband posing with Duckie and Turtle. Duckie asleep Duckie awake Duckie chillin |

Yeah, we love animal names. I was in between Duckie, Gecko, and Froggie. I couldn't ask my husband if it was okay to put his picture online so I decided to keep it safe. |

I love that you bought Turlte a dog!!!! That is so cute andher name is as adorable as she is!! Congratulations on your new addition. If she is truly Turtle's dog he will have to walk her and feed her and train her and I think he will be a wonderful owner! :D |

"Oh, he's a little shy but wait until he comes out of his shell" :eyetearss "She really seemed to love Turtle. She kept following Turtle around (and still does). oh your babies are so cute! My has turtle grown! I would suggest buying the chris christensen system products for bathing. We use the day to day shampoo, day to day conditioner, and ice on ice after spray. Before I used it Annie would Matte soooo badly, but after not many problems at all. She is breeze to brush now... You can do a search on the forum, a lot of people seem to use this product. Here is the webpage for it: http://www.chrissystems.com/ |
I love the picture of Duckie asleep with the tongue hanging out!! I'm glad they're getting along better as the days go by. |
Yeah I was a little confused at first too lol. They are both adorable as can be. I bet they will be best friends in no time! |
What cuties!! I thought you meant a real turtle (haha)! Turtle & Duckie are the cutest names! Do you use a conditioner on her for her hair? My Hallie was always getting matts so I started using a leave in conditioner and it helped. |
I LOVE the names TURTLE and DUCKIE!! So original and cute! I also love the shaved look - very nice for the summer. |
