? a question ? This is a question for those who have had not heard of puppy mills before buying their pets from a pet store.....or I guess anyone. I keep reading (not just on this forum) of people who have bought a pet from a pet store not realizing where these pets actually come from to be placed for sale. My big question is .... where or how would the word have gotten to you before your purchase? I am trying to figure out what can be done to educate the public and reach everyone to prevent these sales. TV, radio, newspaper, etc. you would think would reach everyone, but has not. What media would have reached you? If the prices of these pets were not so high I could very well have been an owner of a pet store yorkie. I have been thinking where could these facts have been shoved in my face to prevent a sale? |
All I can say is that people need to be educated and knowlegable. Not to buy a puppy on impulse. AND ask the right questions.:aimeeyork Actually, I did not know about pet stores and puppy mills either until I did some investigating on my own. Pet stores are not going to just say, "these puppies are from puppy mills" with a :D on their faces. |
