Biting?? My puppy is 10 weeks old and she is always biting or chewing on things (aka ME) Is this just normal puppy behavior or should I stop her from doing this so it isn't a habit when she gets older? Any suggestions?? |
This is normal puppy behavior, but you still should stop her from biting on you!! When she starts biting on you try sticking a toy in her mouth to get her attention on the toy or saying NO!! in a very firm tone!! |
you can always get a second puppy so they will chew and bite each other.. 2 is easier than one.. dogs are in limbo without other dogs.. they miss the littermates at such a young age.. yorkiesw are chewers and diggers.. she def needs dingo bones:) |
Oh, yeah I forgot about Dino bones!! My yorkies LOVE them and they usually only last for about 3 days or so!!:) |
What is a dingo bone?? |
biting Chloe is 11 weeks old, she has been biting a little during play, until today, and she actually got snippy and bit me and then later my husband. I really need advice on how to handle this. I don't want her to be a biter. Thank you for your help. Karen |
Lilly was like this when we first got her, you can do a search on my posts and you'll see because I posted asking the same thing! We always discouraged it because it hurt BAD, even drew blood a few times... things will get better though! I guess she just stopped one day because I don't remember when or how she stopped... she just did and now she's the sweetest little girl ever! |
everytime my little one bites I give him a puppy bone, it helps a little. |
She's obviously teething at this age, and yes it's normal puppy behaviour. The only thing is when she bites you say ouch!! very loudly and put her down on the floor. Has she plenty of chew toys? These will help. Hugs Shirl x x |
So far you got some good advice .... theres nothing I need to add .... |
