It is a start but I have a problem with this... Dogs could continue to be kept in cages but which can be stacked in no more than 2 rows and the lowest level may be no higher than 4 ½ feet from the floor or ground; I guess you have to start somewhere.... |
THAT is wonderful,,, GOOD LUCK! |

This is a great bill, however I hate to sound pessimistic but I highly doubt puppymill owners will use this and if we are so fortunate as to catch them in the act then it will be a good day for the Yorkshire Terrier but how long will it take us too catch them....one day too later b/c at least dog will die before we can stop all puppymills and that is a fact. On a brighter note...one inch at a time and someday we will bury these puppymills owners so that they will never harm or touch a puppy again. |

This could be an example for all states. hopefully more states are enactiihg similar laws ...NOW.. this is great news:thumbup: |
It definitly sounds like a start! I think with these regulations, it'll be too much "work" for the owners of the mills, so hopefully it'll just put and end to it. I'm sorry, but I see commercial dog breeders as some of the laziest people on earth, they have to put dogs through such harsh conditions just so they can get a paycheck, and can't even provide proper care for the dogs! I don't see the millers being happy with this one! |
Lot's of the Puppy millers in Pennsylvania are Amish. The Amish, is a Christian religion that has some pretty old-fashioned principals. One of their main beliefs is that electricity is forbidden and these people are literally living in the 1800s. No television, computers or anything that gives them access to any new information. Its no wonder that the dogs are treated like livestock, however, I don't even think livestock should have to live in these conditions. The truth of the matter is that the puppy miller rarely makes the big bucks off these dogs. The sell them to brokers who sell them to pet stores and have cute website. We have to stop buying from petstores and websites if we really want to have a real impact on the puppy mill situation. |
