Update on the puppymill!!
 

The investigator just called me back! They searched this ladys house yesterday and found 27 dogs inside her home (2 were puppies) and 40 dogs in kennels outside!! :mad: She's been fined over 7,000.00 dollars for not having licenses to breed, kennel license, dog tags, rabies shots ect. She is only allowed 4 dogs in her home..that is the max in Waynesboro, VA. She has a week to downsize before the ASPCA will come and and just take. The investigator told me that the reason no one has turned her in her neighborhood is that all her family lives beside her in other homes. So, they weren't going to rat her out. The investigator told me that if or when they take any dogs or puppies, they'll call my husband and I to come and get what we want. I have gotten several emails from ppl on here wanting a dog/puppy and I'll definitely keep you updated. She has a week, so we'll know something next week. YAYY! I'm soo happy! They have the community involved too. He said the lady unlocked everything (They took cops and a warrant just in case) and was super nice. I guess she has appointments at a local vet tomorrow to get all the dogs up to date on shots and get them vacinated for Rabies. The ASPCA is following her to the vet to make sure it's done! Thank God, those dogs are going to be placed in better homes! :D :D :D :aimeeyork :aimeeyork

Yeah, YT member strikes again! One by one, pup by pup, we CAN make a difference. I would love to adopt one if you need me too, I live in KY but could make the trip. Keep me in mind if any of those poor babies need a forever home!

Now will they follow up to make sure she doesn't just stash the dogs somewhere until the heats off? And if she gets licensed, does that mean she can keep doing what she's been doing, or will they monitor her?

Oh,, can you imagine the vet bill,,to get all those dogs current on their shots!! :eek: There is NO way!

All her relatives live on her street which is why she was never reported before. The ASPCA has to manage every dog that she adopts out or sells. There's no way she'll be able to stash them. They are on her like white on rice! They will not allow her to get a kennel license. She lives in a rural area and they don't allow those there. :thumbup:

BTW What breeds did she have? I have family in Western PA and may be able to find some homes if need be...

I know everybody usually wants the smaller dogs, but out there they like bigger breeds.

I know I was talking to Jennie who got a dog from her too...and we both could not imagine how high that bill will be...that bill on top of her 7,000 fine! LMFAO!! :cool:

The dogs I seen were all smaller dogs. She has Poms, Yorkies, Papillions (SP?), Chihuahaha(SP?), Schnauzers, and a bunch of mixed yorkie/poms and things like that.

Those small breed dogs need a lot of supervision and HANDLING to help socialize them - especially Chihuahuas. How could she handle taking care of THAT many damn dogs? She sounds like a lunatic! :mad:

She is a loon and none of the dogs are socialized except the 20some she has in her house now. :mad:

That is terrific news! You must feel wonderful right now knowing you have made such a difference in all those dogs lives (plus any future dogs). Great job!!!
