Hi! New YT member!
 

Hi everyone,
My name is Brooklyn and I have the sweetest little chorkie named Billie Jean. She is 5 months and 9 days old and weighs 1.6 lbs. ( Im really hoping she will at least end up being 3 lbs, just for her sake alone) I have had her for almost a month now & can't imagine my life without her.

The first few days I had her were pretty rough since she had really bad diarrhea and didnt want to eat. I then started feeding her unflavored pedialyte through a syringe and thought I would wait it out till the next day to see if it was just stress from leaving her parents & what not. That is how I came across this amazing site. It has been so helpful and I just want to say thanks to all you for the advice you give others on here :) since I happened to be lurking. I thought she could have Parvo, freaked out and took her to the animal hospital to have her tested and to get her feeling better. Turns out she didn't have it (THANK GOD!!) and she just had a bacteria. So a shot and bubblegum smelling antibiotics that she absolutely loved... I now have an energetic cuddleing hyper biter. I think its going to be a long road of training her not to bite, but thats what puppies do. If you have any tips to help with this let me know.

Okay for some reason this post is really long now lol, if you're still reading then thanks for letting me be apart of this board even though my baby is only half yorkie :) Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome to YT and to your furbaby. Sounds like its started out tough but maybe it will get better for you from now on. There is always lots of information from different posts. But if you have questions someone will have an answer. Good luck and hope things go well.

Hi and welcome to YT!!! I used to keep ferrets and as babies they love to nip!!! I used to buy bitter apple/lime spray from my vets (some pet shops sell it also). It's generally used to discourage animals from chewing themselves if they have sores/wounds but works great as a nipping deterrent too!!! Spray it over your hands (and anywhere else she loves to nip!) before playing/cuddling her (let it dry on), I used to pour some into a small travel spray bottle to keep in my pocket/bag!!! Welcome to YT!! I just love your little Billie Jean!! I have 3 Yorkies and 2 Chihuahuas, so I love both breeds!! Billie Jean is my 2 favorite breeds put together!! Can't wait to see her grow up!! She is scrumptious!!:p
