That is soo great :D now we need to see pics ;) |
Well the vet appt didnt turn out so great. It appears that Marley may very well end up loosing the last 4 teeth in her mouth. She had an infection in her gum and now is on antibiotics for a week with a follow up visit in two weeks. We will take it from there..My vet said we'll work on getting the infection out and give her some more time to settle in before doing anything. I agree. Not to sound totally gross here but I had to ask the vet why Marleys poop was so LARGE.. I mean you wonder how such a little dog could possibly do that. She explained that with puppy mill dogs they are so used to holding it for as long as they can that it stretches out their colon and causes that. I teared up right then and there. Each day I look at this precious face and wonder how anyone could walk by and ignore this girl. How they could let her teeth rot in her mouth. Lord only knows the rest. More later. |
Oh poor sweet baby. Give her cuddles from us. Big hug to you too. |

Thank you. Its hard sometimes because you want her to know immediately that she is now safe and sound at home at last but she doesnt exactly know that yet. |
Congratulations to both of you! How wonderful that she is doing so well. We have a yorkie from a puppy mill also - but unfortunately he is not as well adjusted as your dog is. Ours was basically a feral animal - had not been handled until the puppymill sale - he was rescued/bought by a vet that purchased over 70 dogs to get them out of the mills - and she then spayed and neutered all of them and placed them in homes. Our guy is one of two that were not at all tame - he's been here about 1 year now and loves my husband and loves the other dogs we have and just recently has allowed me to pet him. He still hides if too much is going on. Karen |

I feel it will be different with Marley because she is in the house and Delilah is in the pasture with the goats mainly. |
