Shocker..... My fella heard about this and told me! I thought he was kidding, 'Dog's for Hire?' I think it may be a good idea for prospective first time dog owner's to look after a friend/family member's pooch for a few day's to make sure they are making the right decision, but I'm not sure that paying tons of money to a hire a dog is in the animals best interests! What do other YTer's think? BBC - Newsbeat |
I think the concept is a good idea. Like the babies they have highschool students carry around to get the idea of the responsibility. I think it's a horrible idea to subject a live animal to something like that though. |
Oh I do agree its a good idea for prospective new dog owners but thats not who this scheme is aimed at. This is for people who don't have the time for a 'full time' pet and just want a walk in the park on a Sunday! To subscribe costs nearly £300/$600 dollars a month to take the dog four times! One dog can have upto 5 different 'employer's/homes' not including his 'base' home! I worry that this scheme will encourage people with more money than sense to hire dogs as fashion accessories! Not to mention the disruption to the dog! |
I think it is horrible! Poor dogs... Dogs need stability and "dog renting" is NOT going to provide that. |
