Rug Shampooer My Hoover Agility just broke. It was only 2 years old and I probably used it less than 20 times. It is going to cost too much to have it repaired. Any suggestions- less than $200 would be ideal. Thanks! |
We have the Bissel Pro-heat - love, love, love it. Not sure how much? We've had it about 5 years. One part broke a couple years ago - but we were able to get a replacement and hubby fixed it. |
I love my Hoover Steam Vac. Check out the prices at Amazon.com.Amazon.com: carpet cleaner I have had several different kinds over the years, but nothing cleaned as well or seems to last as long as this one has. |
i have the rug doctor.. making payments for 2 years, but i have spent the same ammount on various machines over the years.. i would not live without it.. does upholstery too.. love my rug doctor:) it has saved my carpets:) |

I absolutely love my Bissell Spot Bot, too. Since Lady is a diabetic, she has accidents when her sugar is too high. I treat the area with Natures Miracle and use my Spot Bot after it dries. It's amazing! |
I truly believe Hoover products are very inferior. I bought a brand new vacuum wind tunnel and after 6 months, I put it on the curb and put a free sign on it. I have a Kenmore now and it's a wonderful vacuum, BUT, if I had know how often you have to change that expensive filter, I would not have bought it. For a carpet cleaner, I'd have to go with Bissel. |
We just purchased a steam cleaner today........ decided that instead of getting the carpets professionally cleaned 2-3 times a year, we would have it done once a year and then do it ourselves in between. I purchased a hoover at Walmart. Hopefully it will do what we need it to......... we don't have any MAJOR carpet problems as far as stains, but once in awhile we have an "oops" and it would be good to do an "overall" cleaning in addition to the spot cleaning. |

stop throwing away money:p i have spent that much for steam cleaners that lasted less than a year i love my rug doctor, and will have it forever.. and new ceramic floors are going down now... yay thank god for easy to clean floors i will still have use of the rug doctor for bedrooms but the family room ( doggie room) had white carpets  i cleaned with the rd every week at least for a healthier dog home.. i need easy floors it will probably take all summer to finish tiling 4 rooms the rug doctor paid for itself in one year:thumbup: :) |
I have a kirby diamond...haven't use the carpet shampooer yet and don't really know how to use it...hehe..but i am looking into getting a rug doctor...hehe... |

I want to buy one really bad, but I can't afford it right now. I did see one at costco a few months back for $400. I didn't buy it then (wanted to ask DH)and it was gone by the time I went back. |
We rent right now and it is a pretty small place, huge yard though! I have the Bissel pro heat x2 and I really like it. I also have the hand held Bissell for small jobs, stairs and cars and I am really happy with that one too. I bought the Bissell because my mom has had one for ages that still works really well. When we purchase a home this fall hopefully I won't need it at all because I will rip out every bit of carpet there is!:p I would say you are fine with the Bissell if you have a small place. Also I dont use the cleaning solution recomended for use in the steam vacs. I use Mrs. Meyers, they have an oxy powder for pet stains and oders that I mix with hot water in the solution tank, I swear the carpets look better now than when I moved in! |
