Diamond in the Ruff SCAM!!!! Hello everyone! Ok. So back in March 19, 2008 I cae accross a Craiglist ad that said a yorkie mother and 4 of her children need homes. I immediately reply that I was interested, they sent me an application. The "so called" organization is Diamond in the Ruff based in Nevada. They supposebly rescue "Puppy Mill Dogs" by looking at their website and myspace I truly fell for it, they seemed legit. I submit two days later i got a call and they accepted my application. The adoption fee was $500 which I paid thru pay-pal. Ok to make a long story short. I was suppose to get my yorki pup on May 15th well May 15th came and NOTHING. I called and told me that they were working on gathering drivers, so I will definetely get her by the end of May. As May was approaching I kept calling and calling and calling NO ANSWER!!! They were ignoring my calls! I sent dozens of emals and NO response!!!!! I was heart broken! I filed a claim with The Better Business Bureau and I just got a letter yesturday stating they transfer my claim to a different agency. Now I'm just waiting to see what happens. Has anybody got scam like this?????? P.S. I did however get my baby yorki from a wonderful breeder in North Carolina! |

While looking for a yorkie I went onto Petfinder.com and I got scammed by this person claiming to be an going to Africa for missionary work and was only asking for an adoption fee. Just before I was going to send the money I looked around the site and saw a scam warning- but I was all excited thinking I was getting this puppy and talking with someone it was awful! I read the reviews on Yahoo and it said they were running the scam on Petfinder as well, people have nothing better to do! |
I just found a site called Pets-abuse.com **disclaimer, if you don't want to read about nasty things that have happened to animals don't go there Anyway, I was looking through las vegas cases to see if there was any that could be this diamonds in the ruff place. I did find one on there that was a scam, maybe you could report this scam to that site. |
