Weird question Kingston is almost 11 weeks old and last night he tried to hump his toy. Is this normal at such a young age and is it possible to stop it. When I caught him doing it I told him no and then he stopped which was good but can you teach them to not do that. This boy thing is new to me so please help. |
Mufasa is 13 weeks old and we jokingly call him "Sir Humps Alot" because he is ALWAYS humping my daughters stuffed animals. He has molested just about every single one of them. If there is no stuffed animal he doesn't do it but if there is one well then you're gonna get yourself a show. |
You can keep correcting the behavior...which may or may not work. Mine chose a specific toy...if yours does the same you could always take away that lovey. Neutering at 6 months will curb it to a degree. |
We will be neutering him between 5 and 6 months depending on his teeth. I guess I did not realize it started at such a young age. |

Occasionally my female will hump one of the boys....sometimes she needs to let them know she's in charge around here. Reese has a lovely...although he never loved her in front of us, but was surprised sometimes when we walked into the room. Since being neutered he does that a lot less now. Reggie who isn't neutered...humps Reese. Poor Reese...everyone wants to be the boss of him. |
