Mia I got her Friday june 13th , I took her to my vet Monday june 16 she is still there, when I got her from stacy I was told she has bad teeth and would need to be spayed that she is 5 yrs old. I saw her teeth and understood what had to be done. I took her to the vets Monday for an exam. So i knew how much her dental would cost me. They wont do no work cause she is on a antibiotic fluid cause her teeth were so bad they didnt want to take chances . There running antibiotic fliuds in her for a few days. They cant pull her teeth which will be every single one she has left until she gets better. They are doing blood work on her as well to make sure she is ok enough to put her under to maek sure her liver and kidneys can take the surgrey and herself as well. When I got her all she did was lay in my arms. The weekend all she did was sleep never got up to walk around. I was concerned about her health cause her teeth are decade so bad that is has poisoned her system. Im leaving her with the vet till she has her antibiotic fluids done. All she does at the vets is sleeps as well. She doesnt move much at all. My vet also said she looks older then 5 so that is why I asked for help on a birthdate. Now that I know she is born Feb 2002 that help the vet at well. Hopefully her liver doesnt fail do to the stress of moving around and her poisoning from her teeth. I emailed stacy again 4 times now and she doesnt reply back. When I wanted to come buy her and set up an appointment to see her she was happy to answer emails fast and prompt now that this is going on I dont hear a peep back. That is what else worries me, and I just found out she is in trouble with the township she lives in do to many dog in her home a zoneing dont allow it. Im just thinking maybe she just wanted to get rid of her. What Im going threw now I just dont know. I understood she needed dental care and to be spayed. But I didnt think poor mia was slowly dieing from poisoning of her rotten teeth. I feel everyone who has owned poor mia left her health go down and didnt care for her. Now that she has a loving home who wants to care and love her she might not be able to live long enough to get to know true love buy someone like me. I really wanted a yorkie, and Stacy was nice to me when I met her. Dont get me wrong she was willing to do payment with me on a male 6 month old she was asking 750 for. She had a story with him as well. But I was looking for an older lap dog to retire there life with. Im just sad to see Mia needed more care then what Stacy told me. Im just glad in a way for the fact that Im the one who really cared to take her and get her medical help. And the vets were I live do keep dogs longer then 2 days. She is really only there this is her 3rd night maybe buy Friday if she dont die she can come home. But the vet wanted to get her better and do her surgreys but if they cant her teeth will start this poisoning all over again. That is why I want her feeling better.I only had her a short time but I do already love her or I wouldnt have took on this exspence but then Mia should hae been a free adoption knowing I was going to stick hundreds in her to get her healthy and if she passes im lost with out a dog, and all the vet bills. I guess that is the chance you take when you care and love a pet. |
Do you remember when Stacy got Mia? I was at her house a while back, and I don't remember there being a dog named Mia. Of course, she may have gotten her after I was there. I hope she gets better soon! |

I hope Mia will be ok, poor baby. Sending good thoughts and well wishes to little Mia. |
All I can say is that I truly hope thing work out for Mia and that she is able to get passed whatever ailments she is suffering from. I hope that you get the answers you are searching for and I hope that whatever issues Stacy is dealing with work out for her as well. (Doesn't seem like there is a winner on either side in this situation.:() I really wish that I had some words of wisdom for you, but despite popular belief, I rarely hear from Stacy anymore. (Although apparently I'm her suposed 'business parter' and sell her puppies for her here on YT! Huh, WHY oh WHY am I always the last to know these things and WHERE are all these people I've contacted to sell pups to? :p) Good luck and keep us updated on Mia's progress. |
:(:(:(:(:( oh wow - her teeth must really really be bad - poor little girl -- it sounds like you're doing your best and I agree - I think the breeder should incur some of the cost OR refund the money you paid for her since it's worse than you thought. I'd be upset too if I didn't hear a word back after getting a yorkie that's this sick...you do fall in love with them quick ....it must be frustrating to be ignored by Sylvan - but from what I've read this last year or so - this isn't the 1st time she's done this to someone. What a nightmare.... it seems she really needs to make some major changes in her breeding 'program'. :( or even better - maybe stop breeding. It sounds like she isn't in it for the dogs anymore just the $$ This is sad and it must be awful for your new yorkie. GOOD luck and I hope they can help her. |
I'm so sorry you and poor Mia are going through this. This should be a joyful time in your lives....she, having a new loving forever home, and you with a new loyal companion. I will pray that she gets well soon, and is able to enjoy her new home! |

Mia is very cute I remember.. I have seen her pic and considered getting her before. But knowing her past condition, I couldn't make the commitment... |

I feel so sad for poor little Mia! I really feel bad that the breeder wasn't forthcoming with the proper health information with the new owner :thumbdown At the very least, she could do the right thing and refund the price of the dog......to help pay for the vet bills! I am praying for a happy ending for all!! |

Awww...she is beautiful. We will keep her in our prayers. |
I do not understand how ANYONE could allow their dog to get in this condition. Any breeder whether they have a so called good breeding program or not that gives this kind of lack of care is no better then a puppy mill in my opinion. Since, this is not the first problem with health that someone has had with one of her dogs I feel that it's not jumping the gun or misjudging her in saying this. That poor dog and poor Timmy's girl (Don't forget) and who knows how many other dogs whose Owners may not have access or know about this site to post. I truly hope that your girl pulls out of this and thank you for caring enough to try to help her. She will repay you for all you've done for her. Elaine |

I feel sorry for any dogs in a breeding program such as that...to let the teeth or any health problem get to a "life & death" state is unconceivable. I can understand and respect a breeder for selling a dog that has a potential health concern/problem that may eventually need to be corrected and is forthcoming with that info from the very beginning. But to let a dog go that long and suffer...that's someone I would not want to buy from. Everyone may have a bad case out of many but there seems to be just to many from the same circle here.:thumbdown Praying Mia can recover and live a happy, healthy life with you! |

My question is this.... What kind of reputable breeder sells retired girls without spaying them first? The YT ad for Mia is over a year ago. There has been plenty of time for this breeder to have Mia spayed and her teeth cleaned. Maybe if that had been done poor Mia would not be suffering now! |

Mia is just adorable and shouldn't have been neglected to the point that her teeth are this bad at such a young age.....and to try to sell a 5 year old with such bad teeth and issues for $900.00 even if it was a year ago... is pretty sad. I'm really dissapointed in Sylvan Yorkies - I USED to think she cared about her dogs but it just goes to show that a breeder can act like a great breeder - it doesn't mean they are. ) A breeder should put their dogs first - not the money. |

PLEASE keep us updated on little Mia's condition. Poor baby. :( |
This situation just gets more horrible as the time ticks on. You have to wonder if she disclosed the seizure problem when she sold this beautiful baby. I have no idea how she could have let her teeth deteriorate to that point. More and more it seems like the dogs are just a commodity to her and not what she represented...I mean come on you breed her until you can't and never bother to see to her teeth and whatever else she needs. Even if she was with someone else for a few months there is no way that her teeth could have deterioriated that badly in the course of that time. I totally agree that she should never have rehomed this baby the last time or this time intact. Personally knowing what I know about her from the whole Michiko and Timmy issues coupled with this I am disgusted. When I lost Lulu and was posting about it Stacy's Daughter sent me a pm....she started off offering her condolences and then went on in subsequent emails to let me know her mom is a breeder and a member on YT and that she probably had puppies if I were interested. At first I thought I was dealing with a sweet young lady. Then as I thought about things honestly I started to wonder if I was actually talking to Stacy...I wondered if she was coming onto YT under her daughter's screen name and possibly seeking out sales that way. I am glad that in all my grief and need for a new baby that I didn't fall into that. God only knows I would probably have ended up with a sick dog. |
Breaks my heart to see poor Mia like that. WHY wouldn't she at least spay and do dental BEFORE rehoming her. She had to know that the poor baby needed this desperately. Sounds like she knew she was too sick to go under anesthesia and didn't want to risk losing being able to sell her. Praying Mia can get healthy and pain free and know how much fun life can be with the right Mom. |

I can't imagine any yorkie with no energy to play.... We all know what a toothache feels like :( so she's obviously been living in serious pain for a while now & THAT IS JUST WRONG ...not pointing fingers.... but someone should have done something a long time ago when it was discovered her little teeth were so bad off. Bless her heart - she's a little doll and didn't deserve to be so neglected. |

not right ! to take you at your most vunerable and try to sell you a puppy ? Lord...except for checking on Mia I'm not saying another word about this 'breeder' :( I hope she takes a serious look at what she\'s been doing and makes some serious changes in her life for ALL her dogs sake. |
