I would give a notice and give up my deposit before I could get rid of my baby. I feel so bad for you. |

Have you tried asking them why they do that? And maybe you can bargain with them, if it's doable for you maybe they would let you pay a little extra for a pet deposit |
not a yorkie owner anymore Quote:
Also, I think your parents should let you have her back in 8 1/2 months anyway, especially if you go there everyday & feed, play & walk her. They shouldn't keep her permanently, they should do this for their daughter & just host the yorkie for you:thumbdown |

What your manager probably doesn't know is some yorkies never DO get completely trained sorry you have to give her up - I'd try everything I could to make sure I could keep her. Did you not know this when you decided to move ? I mean this in a nice way - but my 1st questions when I moved into an apartment in Feb was regarding their pet policy...I needed to hear everything before I made a decision to move...the deposits were pretty steep but it's like that with most apartments now. More and more are turning pet friendly. |

I didn't know they had an age restriction cuz every other apartment I lived in never did and only had weight restrictions. We aren't moving far, we are actually staying in the same apartment complex but just one with 2 rooms. Right now we live in a 1bdrm apartment. I guess I should have asked them first. Oh and I didn't think that we would be buying a dog. I just fell in love with her when I saw and had to get her. |
I have only heard weight as a guide to apt. living, NEVER on how old they are, I mean what difference does it make, mine still goes to the bathroom inside and he's 9 years old. Sorry for you and sounds like a really dumb manager!! |
Can you find a new place to live.. I feel so bad for you.. I could not stand that... hugs to you...anne |
good luck ..remember to bite your tongue.. shes not yours anymore.. i gave my mom 2 puppies and it makes me crazy when she doesnt do things my way.. but i am learning.. as long as they are loved.. and safe. and good thing your parents are getting your puppy a buddy.. they get to do all the work and you can visit.. count your blessings your next baby will be special too..:aimeeyork |
Update! We decided to just keep Yoyo despite the rules. We are just not going to let them know we have her quite yet. I see so many puppies around our apartment anyways. She's only 4 1/2 months old but she's already 5 lbs and she does kinda look like an adult dog. I'm just praying we don't get caught! |

With today's technology you can do anything. Make a copy of her papers and alter them with a different birth date! Yorkies are small anyhow. He would never know her age. Go for it. |
Oh you poor thing! At least you will get to visit. It is very hard to leave them. Peace and Love, |
