| Nancy1999 | 06-17-2008 08:30 PM | Joey's hair seemed to grow so fast as a puppy, and then it slowed down so much it didn't seem like it was growing at all. I did keep cutting the bottom layer slightly so that it would be all one length. Someone wrote about wire brushes and how they didn't break the hair, although the breeder gave me a wire brush when I got Joey, I was afraid to use it on him because I thought it would scratch his skin. I was using a human brush that has the little balls at the end of each bristle, and apparently this breaks the hair. I've been using the wire brush for a month now, and I can actually see the difference. His hair seem like it has grown an inch in the last month. Now whether this is due to my using the wire brush, or not, I don't know, but I'm definitely going to keep using it. By the way, I have read that some of the slowest growing coats turn into the most beautiful, but it can take as long as two years. |
