she`s tired HI everyone!! I am new here & it seems like a nice place to be!! Good job everyone!!:p I took Darla to the groomer this morn. At 9:45 & picked her up at 1:15. This is her first time to stay for any period of time. The only other times she`s been is to have her feet trimmed & toenails cut. I didn`t have to leave her for that. Well, since we`ve been home she`s just laying around, resting up I suppose. |
Is she acting abornomally for her usual ways? I have heard stories of groomers sedating dogs so they could groom them. Keep an eye on her. |
The first thing that crossed my mind is sedation too. Isn't that illegal without permission from the owner??? |
I`ll keep an eye on her. I haven`t ever had a baby to have to go to the groomer before. She`s only 5 months. We only have one other baby a 15 year old Boston Terrier. She gets her baths & stuff done at home. |
The groomer didn`t tell me anything about sedation. I hope she didn`t give her anything!! especially without asking first.:( |

She`s had all of her vaccines. I thought maybe she was just tired out. You know leaving your baby at the groomer,is about like your childs first day of kindergarten.I was scared to leave her (all alone)! |
I doubt a groomer would sedate without permission. Tricksie would come home tired after 3-5 hours at the groomer, it was stressful. I have a mobile groomer now and it takes 1 hour and Tricksie is full of energy when it is done. |
I'm sure she's just tired from the stress. Three hours is a long time and the stress can wear them out. A person can tell when they've been drugged. They just don't look the same out of their eyes and they don't act the same, either. |
Lulu was the same way, tired. She must of put up some fight at the groomer's. LOL! I wouldn't worry.... |
:aimeeyork poor little one. I would let her sleep, but, also pbserve her closely .She had a rough grooming experience, and probably was a bit stressed .If she was hearing all the other dogs bark and cry, then some strang person man handeling her, then Yea she is exhausted.:aimeeyork |
I wish we had a mobile groomer around here!! That would be nice. So they come to your house & groom your babies? Her eyes look fine, maybe a little tired looking . which she hasn`t had them open that much. yeah, probably just stressed out. I guess I`d be stressed out too listening to all those barking dogs.:) |

So lucky to have a home groomer, she did my Maltese for 15 years, she charges $50 and is well worth it. Check on the internet, there are a lot of mobile groomers. Just hug that baby.:) |
I`ll check on the mobile groomer. The lady that I took Darla to is doing all of her grooming alone. I didn`t know that she was the only person there. If I can`t find a mobile groomer in my area, I`m going to try a groomer at a vets. office. My vet doesn`t have a groomer at his office.I was thinking it would be better if more than 1 person could see what was going on. |
