It looks like you've mastered how to make a post. The feature you'll use the most on the screen is the Quick Links drop down. I tend to use the Subscribed Threads link the most to go back and see who has answered my posts.
You can edit your signature (what shows at the bottom on each message your post in a thread). This personalizes each message you make and lets people know who you and your fur-babies are.
Also, if you're bored and don't have ADD, you can customize your profile. On the right-hand side of the screen towards the top it says "Welcome, {your screenname}" Click on that and it will take you to your profile as it is now. Which is the default blue and white yorkie talk colors. Right next to the "Mini-Statistics" box to the left there's a link to "Customize Profile". Click that an it'll take you to another screen where you can change the colors, personalize your background with images that you upload, etc... Feel free to look at my profile to get an idea of what you can do. It'll take some time to mess with it and get it right, but the "Preview" button at the bottom of each section is handy to see how things will look with the setting you just picked.
