My Maximus is full of energy especially in the evenings! He is only 6 months old so I know he is still a baby thats why I was wondering how much they calm down with age? I mean when did you notice your babys started to become more laid back if at all? Just curious :)

My Katie will be 1 year old August 5th and she is STILL hyper and active!!

I think it depends on the dog's disposition. Every dog, just like every human is different. My daisy is very different from my friend's yorkies. Daisy hardly ever barks or gets hyper, my friend's yorkies are 2 years old and both are VERY active and bark all the time.

Katie is hyper and playful but not barky. But her biggest goal in life is to kiss me and my husband 1,000 times a day! I swear that dog is the kissest dog ever! She's my little french kisser hee hee and I love it! :D

Maximus' isn't really a barker he is just VERY PLAYFUL...lol, I could wake up at 2 am turn on the lights and hold a toy by his face and he would be off playing catch, if I go to the bathrrom in the middle of the night he is right there behind me and then running for me to catch him to bring him back to bed...lol, NON-STOP!!!!

Oh, Tucker is the same way. Every time I try to kiss him he puts his tongue in my mouth! (reminds me of my first boyfriend) lol

Ya! That's the way it was with Muffin. :D Up until the last 6 months, she ran like the wind and played some still and LOVED to go for walks! There'll be no rest for you! Plan on it! You'll just have to get your rest while they're taking a nap! :D

All mine started to calm down after 1 year old. And since I like them hyper I was sad that it happened. :sad:

Confession: I'm sure a lot of it is because after they are 1 year old, I start to seriously train them. We can train up to 14 hours a week. I'm sure all their extra energy is used in when we train and that's probably why they are always so calm and sluggish when we are at home.
