Droopy looking eyes – what could this mean? We boarded our 8 month old baby at the vet for four days. When we picked her up yesterday, her eyes looked VERY droopy. You could see the lower white part under her eyes. They returned to normal once she was home. What could this possibly mean? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks. |
Any chance they tranquilized her to keep her quiet or calm? Just a thought. |
I never thought of that. Hmmm….I will have to check that out! (This is the first time we ever left her, and she normally isn’t very yappy.) |

Glad she is back to normal now. |

I hope that you get it figured out... |
Assuming this is the case, is tranquilizing a dog while being boarded normal? I want to have as many facts before I talk to the vet. |

discussed the possibility with you. It's your dog and you should have been given the choice. I would never return if that is the case. I hope it's not. |
Could he have been depressed without you there and was looking sad? sad eyes.....When he got home with you, he felt better? |

I hope so too. I bet she was thrilled to see you:)!! Has she been fine all day still? It is so hard to leave them. Winston will start to shake if he sees me getting ready:rolleyes:....they know.....they are the smartest little things and so sensitive!!! You gotta love them to pieces!!!:D |
Update: I called the vet and they did NOT give her anything to cause drooping eyes. Their theory is – she was overtired, or HOT. I’ll keep an eye on her in the coming days. |
