Well, I Just Set It Up I just got off the phone with Lil Miss Maggy Mays vet, I set up the appointment for her blood work and spay, she goes in June 27th for her blood work and then is schedualed for her spay on July 9th. Excise the expression but now I feel like I gotta pee my pants. Do ya'll get like that when you get real nervous? I'm nervous now, but the closer it gets to that time I know I'll be a complete mess. She's also having any remaining baby teeth extracted at that time, she still has her two front top teeth, hopefully they fall out before then so things aren't so hard on her. I'll be reading through threads to know what to expect and for some tips and pointers. If anyone would like to share any info or tips with me, it's be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Oh and She weighs 4 pounds 9 ounce and is 6 1/2 months old. |
I know exactly what you are going through. I had my Madeline spayed last Tuesday and she had to have one baby canine removed. She stayed overnight and I picked her up at 4 the next afternoon. They were worried about her because she wouldn't eat for them, although the surgery went well. I brought her home and put her on the floor at the front door. After greeting my other dogs, she raced to the food bowl! She was a bit quiet for another two days but by the 3rd day, was back to bossing everybody. She had laser surgery and has no external stitches to be removed. Hopefully, your baby bounces back just as well as Madeline. All the best! |

I kinda can relate to you .... Maya has a Dental surgery coming up ...... (have to wait for the Vet to call me on my final app.) and I worry sick already she is only 2.8 lbs...... I can't leave them in ... there are three of them and the Vet said last week they HAVE to come out .... |
don't worry.. it's not that bad! Evie was spayed almost two weeks ago, along with having all four of her cainines removed and getting microchipped... she had her staples (yes our doctor used staples) removed Friday and is doing great!!! I didn't want her wearing the e-collar (nor did she) so I dressed her in baby onsies.. but make sure you make a pee hole for her (unless you want to change a pee filled onsie every so often)... I actually took off the onsies after four days and then just put on a longer shirt.. I think 3 or 4 days before her scheduled removal we took the shirt off.. she never once touched the stiches.. but remember.. every pup is different so I'd watch Maggy and see what's best for her... I did make a thread.. If you're interested in reading it.. let me know.. unless you find it on your own.... and if you have any questions at all.. feel free to PM me or post.. I will try my best to answer them. Edith |
