Banfield Experiences I just wanted he hear of good and bad experiences with Banfield Pet Hospital. I'm debating whether to have my yorkie's dental done thru them or a private hospital. I've so far had great experience with the pet hospital. Thanx. |
I would like to see some views on Banfield too. We have 2 I know definately and maybe 3 within 45 miles of us. |
My 4 pups have been going to Banfield for the past 4 years and we love Dr. Johnson (Huntington, NY) and the staff! They are all on the wellness plan with the dental cleaning and I have NEVER had a bad experience there. They are so good to me - they even give me a free exam for any rescue dog I am fostering (I am a volunteer w/Save A Yorkie Rescue). I tell every potential adoptive family about Banfield and about how much money I used to spend at the vet and what it costs me now. Last year I saved $1,000's - 4 pups can be very expensive. The teeth cleaning alone would run over $500 each, not including if any need to be extracted. I GIVE BANFIELD two thumbs up!:thumbup: |

I am having a dental done on my yorkie in 2 weeks. I actually just spoke to one of the techs/assistants there regarding this and they were very helpful. I asked them what type of anesthesia they used and he told me they use Serofllurane. Someone had told me this is the safest type to use...and this tech told me that it is the most expensive, and that many private hospitals don't use this cause of the cost, but that Banfield uses it because its the safest and that it allows a quick recovery time for the pet. Most dogs wake up quickly and even leave walking out the door. I feel more comfortable knowing this and I wanted share it with others. Every banfield may differ though, but this is good info to know. :) |
