Anyone else have a yodeler?? Baby Chloe Yodels instead of growling. When she plays tug-o-war with Zoeybear she lets out the strangest sounds. It is like she is yelling not growling. Does anyone else have a Yodeler? |

Bentley does! When Bentley is really wanting to get my attention, he kind of turns his head a little and yodels. His eyes will roll a little to the side, too. He points his chin to the ceiling and lets loose. It is soooo funny to watch. Then I just have to cuddle him because he is so cute.:wub: |

Mine does that "screaming" thing also. Drives my husband crazy when he takes her out on his rolling walker with her riding on the seat. Its like she's warning the squirrels and cats nearby that she's coming. She cutest when she does that cooing like baby talk when playing with her toys. Love it.:hearts6: |
Bella does that too, she usually howls instead of barking -l- and she also 'talks' when she's playing. |

Bailey hums. It sounds a little like moaning and humming combined. She reminds me of my mom. She used to hum too (without realizing it). LOL |
This thread is funny! Both of mine do this-Milli is THE most vocal dog I have ever seen! When she gets to a new place like the groomer, vet, Petsmart, or in the park with other dog she starts this "talking/whining" and carries on because she is so excited and maybe a little apprehensive about the new environment she's in. It's kind of funny-but it gets a little embarassing too when she won't stop! She also goes on and on in her "ferocious" voice when playing with Emma. Emma, on the other hand speaks what we call "Wookie" because she sounds a lot like Chewbacca from Star Wars when she plays "tough"! |

Mine don't yodel, but Willow is a talker, she's even learned to meaow like a cat! |
yes sound WOULD be great!! KiKi doesn't Yodel or howl..but when you snuggle her she makes sounds like a little guinea pig!! hee hee |
Sure do! Phantom does this same thing when he's playing with his siblings. It is so cute. Sometimes I think he's really trying to talk. I'm going to have to teach him words to say like his Mommy, Gellica. She says "Out" and "I Love You" ... it is so cute. Phantom hasn't quite learned any words yet, but he sure is vocal!! |

I don't know what you define as yodeling but mine, when she's happy to see someone or is playing, has a bark(?) that sounds like rooooo rooooo. It's freaking hilarious to hear her do it but she doesn't do it often enough to catch it on video. |
My Louie makes these weird sounds also, sounds like he it trying to talk to you. He also howls when he is upset.:rolleyes: |

I thought for sure I was the only one that had Howling Yorkies. I swear it is like a episode of wild kingdom. I take them upstairs and then I go back downstairs without them and it starts off with barking, then yipping, then screeching, then they start howling. Someday I will get them on tape but they stop when they know I am coming. Dante my Mama's boy is the instigator. |

Itsy only makes noise when I have her gated in the kitchen while I'm doing other things around the house and she wants to let me know she's not happy about it...she whines, yelps, and screams like someone is kicking her. (Gawwwddddd it gets on my nerves!!:rolleyes:) But then when she gets really frustrated that I'm ignoring the whining she makes this weird howl that has sort of a trill or a roll to it...and it's so cute I can't stay mad :p |
Yodel!! That's the perfect word for it! ~"Yodel"~ I was trying to explain to my hubby the noise that Coby makes when he hears the garage door open. I thought it sounded a bit like someone was removing his toenails .... one at a time. But now... I think I'd consider it yodeling! It is the most ridiculous sound. He does it to a lesser extend after he's barking at someone/thing outside and is told to hush up. My daughter said the neighbors probably think we beat him when he barks. Because from outside, you'd see a head looking out the window, then a ferocious bark, then a stupid-sounding warbling noise that probably sounds like he's being strangled. We should probably do videos with sound........:eek: |
