what would you do? I'm srry to bother my YT friends with this scenario I am sad and confused....Where I got my pup from was breeder who doesa few litters a yr 2 or 3 no more...they have 2 females, and if you read any of my past post. Yes this is the same freind that has ran across the case of parvo. She has lost her pet yorkie and one of her breeder females.. I;m sad writing this and confused whether I am going to be recieved well in what I'm trying to ask you all please bere with me.. since my pup is the last one from there last litter my HB asked me If I would consider Not nuetering him so they could use him for a future stud or 2? I myself in the beginning wanted a girl and since I got a boy wanted to neuter asap to not have to deal with marking and if at possible no lifting leg and he isnt yet... so please I'm asking for thoughts or opinions .. thanks sorry so long and please understand yes they treat there dogs very well the case of parvo was couldn't say no to there grandkids on a puppy I later have found out. and they are despite all these my freinds. |
You asked, so I'll give you my opinion. But this is just that...what I'd do. I would not breed him. I'd get him neutered.:) |

I'm not a breeder but somehow it just doesn't sound like a good idea to breed him. IMO. |
Letting your male breed will make for some nasty unbreakable habits later on. Btw, I love males more than females so that's partiality speaking above. |
I meant not partiality speaking... |
agree with the poster above! if you dont get it done...get ready becuase it gets nasty! |
I agree with those above :thumbup::thumbup: I am a breeder and would NEVER impose on friend or customer to have them do such a life altering thing such as they are asking you. That is above and beyond friendship as you have no idea the things you will be dealing with if you go thru with their suggestion -i have a feeling it won't end here. What I am saying is this - if i haven't already made myself clear :D GET YOUR BOY NEUTERED and forget the breeding thing |
If you dont mind me butting in....I have a question....what do you all mean about it will get nasty?? What happens with the males after breeding?? |
I personally would not breed him for all the reasons mentioned above but have you even considered whether or not he'd even be RIGHT for breeding? Is he a good representation of the standard? Is he AKC registered? Have you had all the health testing done on him to make sure he is free of congenital defects and hereditary conditions? How is his temperament? Also, is this puppy going to be bred with a member of it's immediate family? In breeding is something that should only be done by experienced breeders who know their lines inside and out. There are many things that should be taken into consideration before you decide to breed. Many of which are costly and time consuming. Are you willing to put forth the effort to ensure you are bettering the breed instead of harming it? Sorry if this is lengthy - you asked. :) |
