What the heck does this mean!!??
 

I have two teeny tiny four week old kittens that I am trying to save. (That's another thread) I have let Sassy see them and smell them but have been very careful as I don't know what she might do. So far she has been fine. Curious. Sometimes a bit anxious. Other times acting like she wants them to play with her but also to know that she is 'the boss'...know what I mean?

I keep them in my bathroom and she only sees them a three or four times a day. Tonight, I brought them both out to medicate them and had them in a container so I could keep them both on the counter while I was giving meds. When I finished that, I set the container with the kitties on the floor and let Sassy come 'see' them.

She did...sniffed and then backed up about three feet and did this thing with her feet. I am not sure how to best describe it. You know how they will kick their back legs after going potty sometimes? First one and then the other. Like scratching at the ground? She did just that, BUT with her back feet first and then her front feet instantly after the back ones. It was like all one movement. :eek:

She made me laugh. It was pretty funny. But then I thought....was she showing me something I should pay attention to? Was she displaying displeasure? Does anybody know? I have never seen her do anything like that before. I surely don't want to ignore something that should put me on guard.

My female, Tinka is the older of my two Yorkies. She does that when the younger male wrestles with her and she runs away and jumps ont he chair (which he can't do) then she proceeds to do the foot shuffle thing. I don't know if it is because she is upset, or whether she is showing that she is the dominant one! But it is very funny to watch.

LOL.......around here, we call that "foot stomping", kind of like a three year old child. With Ruby, it means "pay attention to me now, not (fill in the blanK). It's so funny and always makes me laugh.

My MacTavish does that little dance when he is playing with Madeline, just before he runs across the yard at her. I think it is his way of saying "CHARGE".
as a warning to her that he's coming. LOL

Bailey does this also before he runs at Leah to bite her tail or her ears LOL its funny makes me laugh so much!! its like a little dance to scare lol and it seems to work coz Leah runs off LOL :D

Peanut does the same thing after he wrestles with one of the other fluffs or after I give him his meds. We call it the bull charge.....like when a bull is ready to charge!
