lots of places to get them shoes tinkerbells closet has some close out specials in pink tennis shoes ... and bring a water bottle along. |
I don't think their paws are as sensitive as the bottom of our feet, but I could be wrong. If it's too hot for her, she might just walk on the grass. When Bella first started going for walks she wouldn't walk on the cement, only on the grass, and there are sometimes we walk on a gravel path and she doesn't like that either so she goes on the grass instead. |
Be very careful of the concrete, asphalt, brick, etc.!! If you wouldn't be comfortable walking barefooted, I wouldn't expect them to do so either. I'd suggest taking her out early in the morning or late in the day. |
i for one do think that their paw pads are sensitive to the heat.. be careful |

I agree with this. No hotter than you can stand. In AZ this is a real problem, especially with blacktop, and it holds the heat too, so even after it's cooled off a bit, the blacktop can be hot, so always check with your hand (or foot). I've seen the little booties, and wondered if Joey would wear them. |
I don't take my two out during the peak sun hours of the day because it's just too hot for them. Yes, I do believe that their paws are sensitive to extreme temperatures just as our feet are. Not only that, but they are sensitive to sun burns as well. |
ok thanks alot guys. to be honest i cant be out during peak hours anyway for health reasons. but i was just wondering in case there would ever be a time wen i did this. i thought they wud b sensitive too but just wanted to double check. wat about if u wanna take them to the beach?? can you even do that? she will mostly b under the umbrella w me anyway but u never know. anyone taken their baby to the beach? do they like the water? i mean u no right there by the sand i wudnt take her in all the way w me. |
