When does growing slow down.. I'm still concerned about my baby's size. He's 5 1/2 months and about 6 1/2 pounds. He doesn't look big, but he's solid as a rock. I know it's different for all, but at approximately what age can I expect him to stop putting on weight? |
I am not positive, but I believe that they start to slow down around 6 months.. He should not get much bigger but then again he could top out at 15 lbs.. You can never be sure...Stewie has been 6lbs since he was 6 months old and he will be one is a few days...Sorry I couldn't be any more help!!! :D |
My boys had a growth spurt at 15 months!! They had their rabies shots when they were 15 months and one was 4.6lbs and the other was 6.2lbs and now they are 5.5lbs and 9lbs easily! Don't know if thats common or normal, something tells me not so much, but yeah, they did get bigger WAY later than I ever expected! |
Adie hit 4lb at about 6months and stayed there up until she was about a year and a half. Sometime in there she gained another pound. She is 5lb 2oz now at 2 years old and has weighed the same for the past few months. |
Layla was 5.5 lbs at 10 months, and then at some point had a giant growth spurt and is now 10 lbs at 2.5 years! |
Both of mine grew very, very little after the age of six months. |
My boys are brothers....They both slowed down in growth just after 6 months....Ben is 5.4 lbs and Barney is 6.3 lbs.....They are 16 months old....Ben feels like a light weight...But Barney is solid as a rock..... Joyce |
I think the boys start to get their boyish barrel chests around 6 -9 months, they might not gain that much weight but their proportions change. Mine didn't grow much after 1 year. |
Thank you all for your input All posts are appreciated. Based on what all of you guys have said, I now know that I can expect his weight gain to slow down. Unless...of course...he blows up out of the norm. Thanks my friends. |
