Double row of teeth? Chloes teeth are getting really crowded and it looks like her baby teeth arent falling out or something. I know that little dogs often have to get teeth pulled and it is recommended to do it at the same time as getting fixed but I am not ready. Tooo scared still to get her fixed. I have been trying to keep my eye on the teeth situation and today when I made her let me take a look at her teeth she had a double row of teeth at the top(hadnt noticed this before) and the bottom jaw just had overcrowded teeth(this I knew). She has like 2 onthe bottom that are doubled up. So does this hurt them? DO I need to have her crowded teeth immediatley removed? I am just hoping no more try to come in. ANyone else had this problem? |
you only have to have them pulled if they don't come out. I think you are still okay at this point. To help the baby teeth come out, give her a lot of hard things to chew. |
Yeah, it is common for the Yorkie pups to have some of their second teeth come in before their baby teeth fall out. However, if they are still there 2 months from now, you will have to get them pulled. It is good advice to give Chloe something hard or rubbery for her to chew on. Keep an eye on them and hope they start falling out on their own. :D |
Teeth :) Mandy, also has 2 sets the vet told me to give it another couple of months hopefully they will fall out. If not then they will have to pull them. Mandy is 6 months. How old is your pup?? :animal36 Jack and Mandys Mom :animal36 |
Chloe is 8 months. so you think they still might fall out? |
Brody is also 8 months and has a double row of teeth - top and bottom. When he was 7 months old, some teeth fell out, but not enough. I've been waiting to get him neutered/teeth pulled also because I keep hoping more will fall out. I'm about to give up though. I'm scared to get him neutered, too, but I know I need to do it soon. I talked to my vet about it at 6 months, and she said that I could wait but don't wait too long because it will cause more problems and pain as they get older. I'll feel so sorry for my baby for having all of those surgeries. He's also getting microchipped at the same time. Poor thing. I guess it has to be done though. |

I think maybe the smaller yorkies might have a problem with this. Chloe's never doubled up but Lacey's did. She just had 3 or 4 removed because we watched them a couple of months and they just weren't going to fall out, so my vet recommended removal to prevent a bite issue. Lacey was 9 months when we did it. She did not have any problems with the "surgery". |
Just when I thought Bell's baby teeth wouldn't fall out, they did give them a little time, and a lot of things to chew on. |
