Just a Reminder and How Do We Make YT Grow? Just a reminder, when you see a new member's post or new thread, please be nice to them. Even if you may not necessarily agree with what they say, try not to get into an argument with a newbie. The first impression is very important, and many people tell us that they stay on YT because of all of our member's kindess and helpfulness. Put yourselves in their shoes, how would you react if you just joined a new forum on a topic you love, and someone isn't so nice to you? We have noticed a few snippy remarks from our members to newbies which we weren't quite so proud of. For YorkieTalk to grow and become an even better community, we need new members. So be nice to them, and one day maybe they will be able to help YOU in same way. :) Also, on the subject of new members, what would you suggest to help our community become bigger and even better? We always love hearing our members feedback and we value your opinions. We've had a steady rate of 20 or so new members daily, but of course not every member participates or even posts. We're very proud of what our members have done to make YorkieTalk such a warm and caring forum, we want to continue to help more and more Yorkie lovers in the years to come. Thanks for listening and have a nice Yorkie day! |
I've been sending all people inquiring about puppies here for info on yorks since joining. It's great to have such a good resource to share..THANKS for being here. |
Thanks sylvan, anyone else have any suggestions? |
I printed a page from the froum and wrote an invite to other yorkie owners to join and put it at our vets office. I know there are other yorkie owners there. |
We have 7 other furbabies in our neighborhood I have told them all they should check out YT that it is a very friendly and informative place. Nothing like a few thousand obsessed yorkie owners and their babies. |
The business cards have really helped because I tell everyone I met with a yorkie about YT and this way they don't have to fish around for paper and a pen, etc. :D |
i told a lady today about it. she's been looking for a dog for her son, who's alergic to animals. (they are good for people with allergies right?) she said she'll check it out. the buisness cards have helped too. |
Yup, Natalie's business cards are AWESOME! Did you guys print them on regular paper and cut them out, or did you find thicker paper to print them with (like regular business card thickness)? |
Why don't we make a universal YT.com logo or something that we can use on all of our websites to link to here? |
I don't know what they did.... Quote:
I'll also have to see If there is a information board at my vets. The last time I was there I saw 3 other Yorkies. It's a really busy and big place, so there isn't always room to talk. |
Flyer at dog park we put up a flyer at our local dog park telling all yorkie owners about YT |
Vets and Shelters I can happily put stuff up at our vets and the shelters there are SO many yorkies in my area I could not even begin to tell you. Very popular breed here. |
I missed the business cards. Can we just make our own or can we get them from YT? |
Natalie created some wonderful business card designs for us: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...business+cards |
I love the last card because it has little Yoda on it! |
