I am new and have questions Mostly, I have a problem with my Lily. She is so picky about what she will eat. I have tried so many kinds of dry food. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Lily is a year and a half old. (I have tried parmasean cheese on her dried food.) Thanks!!!;) |
I feed Tessa Orijen and she loves it but then again, she will eat just about everything! Hope you find something yours likes and welcome to YT! |
some times when our babies are picky eaters that means that they have a liver shunt.... have you taken your baby to get checked? if its not that I would try some wet food or home cooked, or natures verity... whatever you think is best for your baby! but I would FIRST take her to the vet just to make sure nothing is wrong with her... |
Welcome :) What dry foods have you tried with Lily? Have you checked out Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble? Its a great site for reviews on kibbles; I think most YT members feed kibbles that are rated at 5 stars. Personally, I do not feed kibble. Sasha and Xavier are both on Nature's Variety Raw Medallions and they gobble it up! Xavier has been a pretty picky eater and didn't care for Wellness, Chicken Soup, Canidae, or Merrick's too much. Hope that helps some! |
I would suggest Wellness or Canidae for kibble. They seem to be the most suggested. |
I too feed Nature's Variety Raw Medallions Gracie LOVES them... but its what you think is best for your baby that matters... ;) so dont feel like Im pressuring you into anything;) lol |
I have THE most finicky eater in the world! I tried so many different brands (all really good ones) and could NOT find one that she would eat. Sadie was 2 yrs when Lillie came home. I didn't care for the kibble that the breeder had her on so I switched Lillie to Canidae all stages...well....Sadie LOVED IT! I will also mix a little of the wet canidae I have recently started mixing merricks grammies pot pie (kibble) with the canidae for a little variety....... |
Wish I could help you but mine is a very fussy eater. He likes something for a couple of days and then not. He does like cooked veggies mixed in though. I also found that if I heat his food just a tinge warmer he will eat. I can sneak in some of his kibble if I mash it all up with veggies and some can wellness. Good luck...I am still fighting that battle.:) |
We homecook for our furabies. You can get a good book on homecooking for your dog if you're interested in that so that you can learn about what supplements need to be added. I cook up large batches that will last about 1 month, and I freeze in 2 day portions. My babies love it! |
