How do you keep hair out of eyes? Baxter is 5 months. He tolerates topknot fairly well but his hair is not really long enough for that yet. And the shorter hairs still escape. What do I do to keep the hair out of his eyes? i brush it back every night but that lasts about 30 seconds. Husband is having a fit to cut it but I don't want to do that. |
i used to use vaseline or gel until it got long enough to put in a pony tail |
I think some people use eyebrow gel! I have not used it myself so dont know much about it.But dont cut the hair .:eek:This is the akward stage it will get better but if you cut it it will just grow into his eyes very quickly. |
i just bought cindra sculpting gel for dogs. it was $5, plus $5 shipping. i just used it yesterday on Kash, and it works well. i'm assuming it's safe since its made specifically for dogs. here's a link: CherryGal.com. others also use pet silk top knot gel for dogs: Pet Silk Top Knot Hair Gel For Dogs. but it's slightly more expensive. good luck! |
This is a great thread! I knew my Trixie is going thru a "bad hair day" stage, but also thought that everyone else had a better handle on their yorkie's hair! Her nose hair is really popping up now and I'm guessing she can't see a thing. Thanks for the info everyone, perhaps my baby can look (and see) better now! |

no no no don't cut the hair if you want it out of the eyes, it is just an akward stage and it too will pass...Chloe only tolerates her ponytail for about 13 seconds and tries to rub it out, but I use the little colored elastics and vaseline and it stays put for at least 48 seconds haha good luck! |
