breeder using clorox bleach when i went to visit a breeder i saw them using clorox bleach cleaner to clean up puppy piddles. is this alright? |
I would think that as long as it dries before an animal steps on it it would be ok. My neighbor uses it for her cats and she is the neighborhood animal expert. |
was it diluted? When I used to teach school we used diluted bleach/ water to clean tables, toys, etc. It is very safe for kids and would assume for pets too. |
When I am doing a deep clean of their room, I use "just a little bit" diluted in alot of water. But they are not allowed back in for a few hours after. |
Bleach is fine as long as it dries before pups are allowed to walk on it. Bleach is the best way to keep Parvo, distemper, etc at bay. Its use is very common. |

We have always used 7 parts water to 1 part bleach in our kitchen. Recommended by the hospital where my daughter used to work. |
I've used bleach diluted with water of course, for many, many years without any problems. |
thats the best thing to clean with diluted of course a little goes a long way.Actully when my son was 3 he got a hold of bleach (was staying with other people at the time)took him to hospital he got more on himself dont think he swollowed much if any at all.The dr told me that Actully the army still puts bleach in their drinking water. I know people who puts in their wells. Myself I clean with it and if and time to time I put a little in my dish water.usually like flue and cold season. |
