a "crappy" delima so, the downfall to having 2 yorkies.....when one poo's in the house...how do you know who did it???????????? I have NO idea who is doing it, but I keep finding little presents all over the house. the kicker...they can go outside ANY time they want. but they would just rather poo in the house than to step in the grass in the mornings. picky little stinkers!!!!!!!!! so far I have cleaned up 2 piles...so I am just not sure who is doing it. and yesterday, 3 times!!!! I thought they were both doing really well with going outside to potty...but maggie has always been the type that if she can hide...she will hide and poo. tessa, I think, is picking up on that. I have caught Tessa in the "act" a couple of times first thing in the morning. I haven't caught Maggie recently...but before Tessa came, I would find maggie presents in the house randomly. I need poo DNA tests :D I have been leaving pads out for them but neither one of them will use them :( I think they like to make me crazy  |
OMG that is funny but not funny!!:D Hey if someone can help with the poo issue I hope that they post soon. I have the same problem with Izzy. She has access to outside all the time, she's clicker trained, potty bell trained, crate trained (she will never go in her crate or when she is in her x-pen even with the pee-pads down). As soon as she is out of either of those and if I don't see her at the patio door to go out...bamm..she finds a hiding place to go poo. She pees too inside on my black throw rug.:( I don't get it either. Little buggers.;) |
Good luck with your detective work! All my girls are different sizes so it is easy to know who leaves chocolate truffles for me to clean up!! :p Their "allow" area is getting smaller and smaller. I have lattace fences all over the place so i can always see where they are! |

i keep telling dh that they are trying to convince us to get rid of the carpet and get hard wood :D |
Oh bummer! Mine will do the same thing on occasion. I'm not sure what the stimulus is for them to be outside for half an hour, then come inside and promptly (well, as soon as I'm not watching) poop in the house! At first I thought it was b/c it was too hot outside, then b/c the grass was wet, or it was too windy or it was too cold...... And it's only once in a great while...although, Madison is prone to going inside in the middle of the night:rolleyes:. They're actually PRETTY good though. I mean, if they HAVE to go and you're asleep, I figure it's MY fault, not theirs. I used to be able to tell the difference between the two b/c Madison had such an "issue" with his gut ...but now that he's so much better and on the same food as Max (for the most part), it's almost impossible to tell the difference. Actually, I'd rather have it that way than the other way;). I know it's frustrating when one does it and kind of "teaches" the other one to do it too....luckily, I nipped the marking thing in the bud when I saw Max lift his leg in the house...he knows better! Good luck; I don't know what you do; I just try to watch them closely (which I know you do) and keep opening the door up for them to go out. Poo DNA:D would be great, but the problem is, that once they've done it, how can you reprimand them for it unless you saw them do it? I'm sure it would be out of body, out of mind, LOL. |

anyway...i dont think there really is a solution to it...just have to keep a closer eye on them i guess. |
We know who's poo is who's LoL you have to examine when you see it come from one pretty soon you'll know the difference. |

uh that's a dilemma :) Was Maggie having accidents before? They say it's easier to train a second puppy, but that's only when the first one is 100% trained, or they will only pick up the bad habits!!!! :) little stinkers! ;) |

poo dna :D just too funny mandee!! I hear your frustration! Well this is kinda graphic sorry...but my husband calls our doggy poos in the house 1. are "pencil" poos...those would be Winston's 2. "logs" yuck... would be the shih tzus. I cannot even imagine cleaning up after a big dog. Just because of the size difference we have figured out whose is whose, but aahh trying to get 100% compliance is so hard. I think it is like somebody said before if they aren't 100 percent the new doggies pick up on it. I know I would loooove wood or tiles throughout too. I love carpeting for comfort, but the other would be so much easier to keep clean!! As much as I hate poo, it is easier to clean up than pee, unless it is soft and then we are talking nightmare:eek::(. Good luck hopefully they will get it all soon!! |
I wonder if you could put something in one of their food so it would come out a different color or something like that and then you would know who's is whose?? |
