Dress/clothing sizing I am shopping for clothing for my new baby, Katy. I have purchased some XXS and XS sizes but I do not know what size she may wear when full grown. If she is expected to be around 6 pounds when matured what size would she possibly wear then? Still XS or S? I love the Chloe Bella dresses but would want to wait until she is nearly full grown to invest in several. I sent for an XXS Doggles mauve microfiber daisy harness and an XS Doggles microfiber bumblebee harness with matching leads. So adorable and they look so soft and comfy. Heard about them here on YT. |
I wouldn't try to buy for the future. Thing, collections and seasons change and so do the adorable outfits. Plus you never know...there isn't a guarantee on how big they will get. |

maybe if you really like any one material you could ask at chole bella and pay for the dress and ask that it was made at a later date.. problem is.. there are always new dressed being made that one falls in love with.. so when your babies is big enough.. I am sure you will not have a hard time purchasing her some clothing.. There are so many great sellers on here that it is hard to keep up.. my dogs have so many cloths now..and you will soon find the same thing.,. Have fun with your katy and have fun shopping.. it is really lots of fun..anne |
Dress/clothing sizing I know it can be pretty unpredictable what size a puppy can become. But I just can't wait to get some cute stuff now. Especially since I have not had a girl puppy in years. I know I am going to be addicted to the cute things available. I just hope she will like wearing clothes. My bichon, Barney, loves a t-shirt on but my toy poodle, Mickey, looks like he is being punished if I put anything on him. I want to start out on the right foot with Katy and get her used to clothing at a young age. |
Hi! Welcome to YT!! Everyone has differen sizing so just going by sizing doesn't always work. THere are many of us here that custom make the clothes to fit. I would suggest getting just a few things while she is still growing and getting her used to wearing clothes. If you wait until she is grown, she won't be used to it and prefer to be nakkie! If you get the clothing too big, she will not be comfortable and will not enjoy wearing them. Yorkies have a tendency to be long and thin which makes it hard to buy "off the rack" since most store bought clothes are way too short if you get them to fit their girth. If you get the clothing to fit their length, the little clothes will swallow their bodies! Just have fun and maybe get her a couple of shirts or dresses to start out. Good luck! Can't wait to see pix of your baby girl!! |
I found that it just varies so much from manufacturer to manufacturer, and from year to year. Target's small use to fit Joey perfectly, now it's too big, as in too long. Extra small is still too small, and I wish they would make more sizes in this range because Joey seems much more comfortable in the clothes that fit him best. Linda of fufu fashions made one of Joey's favorite shirts. |

I would buy some stuff that fits her now, but i would wait to buy the expensive stuff. Seriously, just be patient. I wasted so much money with Jaya... with Jenna I was smarter, and waited til just recently to buy her stuff. Custom made is definitely the way to go. But I totally understand.. its so hard when there's so much cute stuff out there. Good luck! |
