Bows How do you keep your dogs from taking the bows out of there hair. |
for me it's luck, lol! I keep Kammie interested in something for a while after I put one in and eventually she forgets about it! |
I use the method described in this link. The bow will stay on if you do it this way. It also has a section on how to train your puppy to wear a bow. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In |
I start them when they are young and use a band at first then a small bow and they all havw kept them in. The problem I have is Roxie kept taking Cali's bows out so I finally cut her top knot off for know until Roxie gets older and hopefully grows out of it. |
Just start with a band, then a clippie, and finally a light bow... distract the pup after placing it, and make a nice time for the dog when you do their topknot... a treat or something... for sure they will take it off, but you just put it again, and again, and again... sooner or later, you will win!!!!:D |
Thanks Wow thanks for the great info....One of my dogs is older but she will keep it in for a while and then when I am not paying attention she will shake it out. My five month old doesnt really have long enough hair but I want to grow both of my dogs hair out but I want to put bows in so I can keep there hair out of there eyes. Well I will keep trying. Thanks so much. |
