My 2 Like Ice Cubes Dudley loves to play with ice cubes and today I was making Ice Tea in my maker and I was getting ice cubes out and Dudley was right there wanting one. So I gave Miss Miley one too and she had a BALL with it, she chased it around the Kitchen and of course, it was melting but she had a ball. Anyone else have babies that love ice? |
Sal has done this before but I am always afraid that he may choke so we uses apple instead. |
My gang love ice cubes, especially during the summer. I have a small ice tray for them so I don't have to bite the big cubes into pieces. They don't play with them though, they take them to their beds and crunch away:D |
All four of mine like ice cubes my big dog Snoopy has learned to catch them in his mouth. |
Sounds like there are other babies that like ice cubes. Dudley is funny though because if I put 1 in his water bowl, he gives me a funny look and won't drink it until the ice melts LOL. |
Yes, Maybelline loves ice too and she just discovered it last week. It is so fun watching them make new discoveries. |
My babies LOVE ice, especially little Tatum :) I actually crush it for her all the time and give it to her. Any time I go to the ice maker to put ice in a glass, she is standing right there waiting for some :p It's honestly like a treat to her...she LOVES it!! |
My girls all three love ice. We have an ice maker in the refrig. door and can get cubes or crushed. I usually crush it and fill a glass with water. Then I give it to them in their bowl. They love the ice water and the ice chips in the water. They always have. If I give them regular water they just look at me like "but mommy...where is the ice?" I choose the chips so hopefully they are not as likely to get choked on them. |
Deiter loves ice cubes, Cozmo just like to take them from Deiter but doesn't want them. lol I have given them to Deiter since he was little. Loves them in the summer time. And when we get back from walks he will go to the refrig door and sit and wait until I get him one. |
Meeko loves ice cubs. He plays with them and then chomps them up. I usually give him one after a nice long walk! :p |
Sebastian loves ice, too. He comes running as soon as he hears the freezer door open! |
sorry to scare you about this but this can be dangerous with small dogs as it can freeze up insides so not good to give dogs anything frozen. Check with vet to confirm and maybe google it but i have read some bad stories about this so wanted caution on this. |
Jini loves ice cubes, when she sees me open the fridge she would make a cute noise, maybe telling me to give her an ice cube. |

i have given ice cubes for years...and they LOVE IT! its really fun watching them scoot it around while chewing on them...all you can hear is chomb chomp chomp! lol |
They love ice cubes and have a "time" with it... specially on hot summer days... another good thing about it is to use as a "tool" if they need to take extra liquids , when they get dehydrated or "post op" care, or when pancreatites happen and they need "pedialyte" for examples , just freeze in an ice tray and give one at a time... it is usefull both ways: to keep an ongoing injestion of liquids and to keep them to injest too much liquids at once since they "take theyr time" to lick it !!!! my 2 like ice cubes Tricksie goes nuts when she hears me filling my glass with crushed ice, she comes running and I let some fall on the floor for her. I put crushed ice in her water and she plays in it, then we have to mop.:D Cheap entertainment. |

My two go nuts when they hear someone getting ice cubes from the ice cube maker in front of the refridgerator. They'll come running from anywhere in the house when they hear those cubes rolling out the chute! They just have to each have a cube and they love playing with them in the kitchen until they lose them under the fridge. They're so cute. I also keep an old plastic cool whip bowl in the freezer full of frozen water for when we sit outside and it's hot out -- we live in Florida so that's alot. They love licking and playing with the huge ice chunk in the driveway. It helps keep them cool too. :^) |
