Trach Tube Buddy is going to have a puppy tooth pulled, when he does the vet will use anesthesia which I am fine with. But she will be using a trach tube because she does when ever any dog is put under anesthesia. Which given what I have read about collapsed trachea's freaks me out a little bit. Thoughts?? |
All dogs under anesthesia should be intubated. It holds the air way open and vomit can't really go into the lungs that way. It is necessary in my opinion. |
That is a very good point, it just seems so extreme for pulling a little puppy tooth. |
You wouldn't want your dog put under anesthesia without it. |
I think more than anything I just worry about the poor little guy, even though I do trust the vet. If that darn tooth would fall out on its own we would not have to worry about it but it does not seem to want too. |
it is called an endotracheal tube and that would be a good idea, protect the airway no different with people, I work in a hospital |
