Yorkie Fair 2008 cancelled
 
Sadly, we had to cancel our event for 2008, but we are hoping to put it on sometime in 2009, after the elections and our economy stabilizes.
We feel that the poor economy, and ever rising fuel costs contributed to the fact that we could not get enough vendors to support a successful event. We did not want to put on an event that would not meet both the vendors and shopper expectations, so we made the difficult decision to postpone it until sometime in 2008.

Oh No! Is this the one in Kansas City? or the one in Michigan? I'm so sorry to hear this but totally understand about the economy! :thumbdown I can't believe how our government has allowed things to get this out of control! Bread is almost $3.00 a loaf! It wasn't but 10 years ago and I could get it 4 or 6 for a $1.00 :confused:

Maybe someone who has the ambition could plan something in the area without the vendors? Are there meet-ups in MI still?

Vendor from last year
 
There was a vender there last year. She made these fleece tents. I bought one and LOVE it. She didn't have a website but I was so excited in hopes she would be there again.

Does anyone know who I am talking about??? And have her info?????

Well, it could be a stack of paper plates and pizza and $10 to eat (proceeds go to a Yorkie organization).

Shoot! I was not able to go to Kansas City and really wanted to go to Michigan, this is disappointing! I totally understand, I'm going to be working from home 1-2 days a week to save gas money. Times are really tough right now! :(

Crystal - we have a very active Michigan meet-up group. If you search for the thread by 2Parises, she is hosting a birthday party meet-up on 5/24 in Owosso (near Lansing). We usually have a meet-up once a month. Many of them are in St. John's and there is also a meet-up in Dearborn. We have a great time and several of us (myself included) drive 1-2 hours to get to these meet-ups!!!!!!

Maybe we will see lots of our YT Michiganders at the 5/24 meet-up?!

Uggg I wish i could go May 24 is my b-day tho and the kids have BIG plans lol I cannot stand them up! I hope we find a place in Michigan I ma willing to be a vendor for treats beds and blankets.....:animal-pa

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!!!! I think the next one in Dearborn will be Labor Day weekend. I'll let you know if there is one earlier than that.
