Anyone ever had their dog(s) professionally photographed? Anyone ever had their dog(s) professionally photographed? How was the experience? Did you go someplace or did they come to you? I'm horrible at taking pictures so I was thinking about having some professionally taken. |
I am sure there are lots of folks on here that have had that done. I think you should go for it!! I would love to see the pictures they come up with. I think the hardest thing would be deciding which ones you want. I would want them all!!:p If you decided to do it yourself, I would enlist the aid of a friend. Maybe they could take the pictures and you could be 'with' your dog getting the 'right' shot ready. Too bad you live so far away from me. I would love to do this with you!:D |
I would like to that myself this yr. I know JC Penneys takes Pet Pics !:) |
The Picture Place that are in a lot of malls will take your pets' pic. You have to make an appointment before or after regular hours and you can't use their props - you can bring your own. I know, because I asked. I'm going to have Matty Lu and Kalina done in their sailor dresses. :) Geez, that was a grammatical MESS!! Sorry Kyle. :) |
4 Attachment(s) I have had professional ones done of my last Yorkie Gracie, she was beautiful and the pics turned out great. A pet store in the area had a prof photog come and do them. I also had professional ones done of Maya my pom when she was a puppy in a studio and they turned out good but were way expensive, then when she was older I had them done by a photghrapher who came to Petsmart. SHe had all kinds of props, basket, wagon wicker chair and they turned out fantastic. any of them could have been used on a calendar. I have attached pics of the pics so they are not as good as the actual ones. I would love to get professional ones of all of mine but I cannot imagine trying to get all 4 to cooperate. |
omg i love the pics patti....i want to take professional pics of martini i cant waitttt |

This isn't the place is it? ETA: Isn't the place you are talking about the place with the brightly colored window displays with the big props and such (I guess that describes every picture place in the mall, haha)? |
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...onkeys-me.html I had those taken at JCPenney's for my mom for Christmas. I was very happy with how they turned out :) |
I know Jodie (LuvMySissy) has! Maybe search her posts Kyle...I'm sure you'll find them ;) They were really cute! |

I'm sorry, it's called Picture People. I go to the one at the Cherry Hill Mall. It is the place with the colorful props and the cute baby pics in the window. But they absolutely do animals as well and I don't think they are too expensive unless you are coerced into buying a huge package. I tried to find a price list online, but couldn't. :( |

We had Crosley's pictures taken at Petsmart when she was in a puppy. We have a really cute one of her sitting in a paint can and it looks like paint splatter as the backdrop. She's 17lbs now, no way her furbutt would fit into a paint can now! :p I can't remember the name of the place in our mall, they are right next door to Moochie and Co. and they do pet portraits and we plan on taking all three dogs there, they have a pet special going for the next few months! I'm hoping they have better luck at getting all of them to sit and pose like professionals! :D |
My Mother in law and brother in law used to have a photo studio and they took pictures for us. We were all in our Christmas clothes and so were chachi and Jewels and they turned out great. I definitely think it is worth it and plan to do it again |
I have had all my dogs done with Champion Pet Photos. He travels from diferent stores in NJ and PA. Jack is a really great guy and good at getting their pics done. I would upload my pics to YT but it never lets me add pics (well almost never) Heres the website: Champion Pet Photos |
4 Attachment(s) We've had ours done three times. The first was a photographer who came to our local pet store. They were pretty good, but fairly expensive. I think to get a CD with 6 poses on was around $100 (and then you printed your own). We've had the same pet photographer do them twice. The first time was at the Michigan Yorkie Fair last year and the second time was at one of our local meet-ups. He does a great job and is extremely reasonable (I think we got 4 different 5x7's plus 8 wallets for $40). This is from the pet store photographer: Attachment 217053 This was of the first session with the 2nd photographer at the Yorkie Fair: Attachment 217054 These are from our last session in December 2007: Attachment 217055 Attachment 217056 |
I'm a photographer so I have a lot of pictures of my furbabies! I always complain about work but when I'm shooting my babies it never feels like work. Bobby loved to have his picture taken but Bentley seems to think he always has somewhere more important to be. |

I would post my pics but YT doesnt let me upload them. I always get an error. Once I got it to work but I forget how I did it |
Mine were professionally photographed and I use it as my avatar. We arranged it for the Michigan Yorkie Meet-up Christmas party last year and he had a room in a different area of the house so there were no distractions. I LOVED the way my photos turned out and I'm sure we will be using him again. |
There's a place around here at the palisades mall that takes pics of kids, babies and they have different settings. They change them all the time. When i went one setting was a whole bunch of Teddy bears, another was a flower setting with a fireplace and this tiny little bench, soooo cute! They also had a tea party setting with the table, everything it's just adorable! Anyway i asked if they take dog pics and they said yes so i def. wanna take the dogs to get their pics done but i need to get them outfits to wear:p |
